So what do you call continuing to believe something IN SPITE of evidence to the contrary? What if the evidence is overwhelming, and completely accepted by millions of experts in the subject?

I think that kind of obstinate tenacity deserves a different word. Anyone can do Faith; it takes someone special to be quite so doggedly wrong.

Oh, and: God approves of faith, we're told. But what does He think of this other thing?

I met my girlfriend when I studied aboard one and a half-year ago, we stayed together for two months, it was our most enjoyable and unforgettable 2 months we ever had. She came back to her countries in Feb 2006. After we dismissed, we still keep our long distance relationship until now. In last 5 months, due to her graduation thesis and new job in her home country, we have less chance to talk to each other. She told me she has less feeling on me after she started to work. She even told me clearly that her thinking and feeling on our relationship has changed. It was out of my expectation that I feel nothing at all when I heard about it. I believe that our feeling towards each other has declined due to the problem of distance and time.

Does anyone think that we still love each other? Is there any solution to our current situation? I am very confused now; she is the same as me. I feel that she is looking for my response?

ok so im 6 weeks prengant and been getting lower back pain for almost 2 weeks straight...did any one experience this also ....anything i do it hurts ...iv also put on 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks could that be the reason???im also getting mild cramping but thats normal!but the back thing is just ...i hate it.with my first prengancy i never got any back pain until i was in labour!!

My little boy has been in the playgroup for quite some time already. He didn't have any problem with it from the very first day untill recently he starts to cry and refuse to go in the classroom. I'm wondering is he getting bored or should i let him stop going for a while?

I'm not really a huge smoker, but I've made it sort of a hobby to smoke different kinds of cigarettes. I smoke Newports mostly, and have recently given Djarum red clove cigarettes a try and liked them.

Does anyone have a particular brand that they like more than others?

I'm also curious about foreign [to me] cigarettes, such as Silk Cuts and Belgium Dreams cigarettes. Has anyone tried either brand?

[And I know that smoking is bad for you, so you can chose to tell me so or not.]

Hello...i have had 2 surgeries for tumors on my ovaries and i went to the doc.2 weeks ago for them to do a ovulating test and it said that i am not ovulating. right now i only have half of one ovary left. i wonder what can i do to get pregnant..all the help would be nice b/c i am at a dead end. thanks ya'll

Okay i am 19 yrs old afraid might be pregnant and i keep getting reacurring but mild yeast infections.I still see my pediatriction though can i go to her?I have only ever gone to a obgyn once to make sure i was clean but the only lady at the practise moved and i dont really want to be seen by a man.I have the number of an adult doctor i saw once before because my pediatriction was unavailiable at that time they have it listed that they have an obgyn on call at their practise?Should i make an appointment their?Or look for an obgyn place?

If I asked you to follow me into a darkened tunnel, all by yourself, and I just said to you "Have faith and don't ask questions"...woudl you go? If not, why is the answer all too often "have faith" when you're asked difficult questions about your religion? Why do you have such blinding faith in your religion? Why is it NOT okay to ask hard questions? Are you afraid of the answers? Because that's exactly how it appears to me.
