I'm not really a huge smoker, but I've made it sort of a hobby to smoke different kinds of cigarettes. I smoke Newports mostly, and have recently given Djarum red clove cigarettes a try and liked them.

Does anyone have a particular brand that they like more than others?

I'm also curious about foreign [to me] cigarettes, such as Silk Cuts and Belgium Dreams cigarettes. Has anyone tried either brand?

[And I know that smoking is bad for you, so you can chose to tell me so or not.]

Katie, here's your lecture for the day. I stopped smoking in 1985. I still want a cigarette. One day they told me my heart had some problems. Nothing serious-just the kind that a lot of women get as they get older and that if I needed an operation to fix it somewhere down the line, the fact that I smoke could kill me on the operating table. My brother-in-law died just that way. When I was younger, it was cool to smoke and I enjoyed it. But now you know how much damage cigarettes do to your body. Why do you smoke? You won't notice it while your young but as you age little things will start to show-like out of breath when dancing or walking or swimming. The damage is occuring now as you smoke. Some of it is reversible and some is not. If that doesn't faze you, why not just save the $ and take a super vacation. Why not get mad that the cigarette companies are loading the cigarettes to hook you so that you can't stop smoking. Do you realize that your sense of smell is diminishing? It has to. That way you don't realize how bad the smoke makes you smell. It's in your hair, your clothes, your apartment, your car and your breath and you reek to anyone that has the sense not to smoke. Please stop. . .if you can. . .

My regular brand is Newport Lights but occasionally I'll smoke a regular. Marlboro menthols and Kools aren't that bad either, especially when they have their buy onr get one specials.

I used to smoke Djarums a while ago and like them alot, they burn really slow. They have many different brands but I think my favorite ones were in a green and white pack.

I've always wanted to try all the many different brands but I don't really want to waste my money and end up buying a pack of cigs that taste like Marlboro reds, yuck!
