My new son-in-law is from Ville Platte, Louisiana and they have an Easter tradition where after boiling, dying, and hiding the eggs, they pick one and starting at either end "tap" the same end of someone else's egg. The first one to crack is out, and the winner continues until he loses. Last one with an egg uncracked is the winner. Some families just have bragging rights, while some families give prizes. I had never heard of this, and would like to see if anyone else does this. Thanx! Another tradition is to then make potato salad with eggs....which I might add is very colorful!

I've been getting more and more into wine, and recently have been pairing my food with wine. I haven't read or heard anything as far as what goes best with Mexican food. Can anyone help me out. Naming a specific wine would be helpful as well.

Thanks!

Do you think the Baltimore Orioles should trade a guy like Brian Roberts or Melvin Mora for quality pitching or would you trade Erik Bedard for a quality hitter. They have prospects but what do you think they should do to get their team to win the AL East.

I've heard conflicting reports as to whether PDD-NOS is or is not "autism." I thought it was on the spectrum, but a different diagnosis altogether.

My sister-in-law's 3 yr old son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS about a year ago, and she's concerned about how her child will adapt to life with "autism."

So is it, or isn't it? Just curious.

We were married for 16 years. We built a new home in 97 and have other property as well. He is from a wealthy family and has two other places to choose from to live other than our home that belong to us as well. When I left I had to be escorted away as his father was walking around our home with a gun. I left with my children and my dog and had to start over from scratch. It's been very hard but peaceful 2 years. All that I've ask for in the divorce is one half of the property that we lived on and my personal things. His dad"the one with the guns" passed away and my husband is a quarter of a million dollars wealthier. I want this over with, my girls deserve a home close to what they had to leave. They never complain though it's been so hard. We've discovered how much you can live without and find happiness .My daughters are 7&12 and have been through more than a lot of adults but we did make it out alive and making this statement I realize how lucky I am. I need the system to work!

You know how hard nosed some neighbors can be. Prying over fences, looking through blinds. Cant smooch in peace, cant drink in peace, cant p*ss in peace. Every time the fella sees me he grabs a bunch of beads and prays for the lard to save my soul. When he sees my parents he tells em to rescue me or send me to a boot camp. You know how it is. This well meaning fellow is a real nuisance. I could cause him some physical hardship but considering his age and being honorable and chivalorous I decided upon a novel course of action. I dump alll kinds of animal tissue and bones into his vent and his house has started to smell like a morgue. The other day he had some people scouring his whole house and yard trying to fix the problem. Even I cant walk past his house without pinching my nose. Now I think the cops will move in thinking he is a serial killer and stowing away bodies in the basement. Should I stop or pour some deodoriser in his vent everytime I pass his walkway? Can he save my soul?

If the doubling of atmospheric CO2 has been caused by burning of fossil fuels, I would expect the percentage of carbon-14 to have halved, because fossil fuels have almost no carbon-14 (because they haven't been in contact with the atmospheric, which has it's carbon-14 continuously replenished by cosmic rays hitting the outer atmosphere).

On the other hand, if the warming has been caused by something else (another greenhouse gas or maybe solar variation), then I would expect the warming of the oceans to have released dissolved CO2 from the oceans. I would expect that CO2 released from the oceans to have the same carbon-14 content has the atmosphere (because there's been constant circulation between atmospheric & oceanic CO2).

A related question: has the amount of CO2 in the oceans doubled (as I would expect if the cause is burning of fossil fuels) or as it decreased slightly (as I would expect if some other source of warming had forced out dissolved CO2)?

Was this a major bone of contention between Jesus and the bible god?

Also, the Bible god said anyone caught working on the Sabbath shall be put to death; and Jesus told everybody to just lighten up and enjoy the Sabbath.

Since the Bible god never changes, what did Jesus think he could accomplish with these statements?

Shouldn't it be considered a hate crime when Fundamentalist groups randomly report false statistics and incite Homophobia? Every one I have ever looked up is in direct opposition to our own GOVERNMENT studies. If these "sites" are reporting their "stats" as "fact", shouldn't it be considered a crime to report false information with the intention of creating panic, fear and hate?
