Due to timing of the question or because of the question itself?

-timing... some really good questions I ask I dont see it being posted and when I look for it, it's on page 4 or so. So it all depends on how many people post questions at the same time and how many people are answering and if Y!A is out to get you or not-

I think timing has something to do with it, as I am in Africa and often when I put up a question all the Americans are asleep...except a few. There is probably a difference in what kind of answers I get, depending on the time! But the question itself seems to make more difference.

I get them because of the question itself and the fact I try to leave them open for 7 days (I have a lot of people answer one question, go see what else I've asked, and answer some of them as well.

You know I just don't ask that many questions and when I do, I really don't care how many answers I get. But... I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to why sometimes you get more answers than others. It really is more of a matter of how thought provoking the question is and I think the ones that promote quick answers get the most responses.

Timing - I get tons of answers If I ask a question between 6pm and 9pm EST. Outside of that time frame, I get maybe 5 - 10 answers.

The question it self but good timing definitely helps.

I think part of it is the timing, and and the heading on you questions need to be catchy so people will stop and look at them.
