I would wait until you find someone, who loves you & respects you. It's not about age, it's about maturity & if you can handle being intimate with the opposite sex. I would wait until you're 18. There comes a big responsibility with having sex, like not getting pregnant or not getting any STD's. So, you want to make sure what your doing & doing it safely. :)

Legally, in most states it is 15 years old. But honestly the age shouldn't matter, it should be based on how mature you are and how much you understand about sex and the consequences as well as the rewards. Anyone who is thinking about having sex should babysit a toddler for about week alone and read everything they can on STD's. Babies are easy to take care of, I have a 4 year old, however when they get a mind and personality of their own, it is so different.

There is no earliest age. A person has to be mentally and emotionally ready for sex. There are a lot of responsibilities associated like STD, HIV prevention (with condoms) and pregnancy protection (condoms).

If you feel pressure to keep up with the crowd who are "losing it", it's way too soon.

Those who brag about their post-sexual coolness (and by implication your un-cool state) are only telling part of the story.

One thing is certain; if you were unhappy with yourself as a virgin, you'll still be unhappy as a sexually active person. The difference is you'll then have more baggage to sort through.

It depends on the person-usually they would know when the time is right. I lost mine when I was 18 and I enjoyed every minute of it because I felt ready for it.

When you are mature enough to handle all the consequences that could come with sex. (std's, pregnancy, etc.) Because everyone matures differently the age isn't really a way to gague if you are ready.

weird question. I've heard of people losing it in early teens but obviously it's possible to lose it before that (though kinda gross to think about). as for me, still a virgin (at 14 lol)
