They say, "you can't take it with you;" but there's an exception. Most people seem to take one special accessory to the grave. What one accessory has the most sentimental value or permanance? Something that is timeless, or that best represents you.

Ok, my grandpa was drafted for Vietnam War service. At that time the draft mostly caught the underpriveleged. Its a long story but he got drafted because of inability to concentrate which caused him to fail some college classes and lose his forebearance. My idea is to make military service mandatory for the children of elected office holders so that they will have a personal stake in their votes. Also any college student who completes two years should be required to serve for two years in the military, or as an unpaid urban worker assisting the less fortunate, or paid service in an overseas assignment if the place is dangerous. ALL colleges that receive 5% or more government money including tuition assistance, government scholorships, grants to faculty members, etc would require their student body to serve. This would answer the argument that only the lower classes serve. High school graduates vocational ed students, dropouts, would be exempted. HS graduateds could enlist.

I have a question about pre-marital sex. I just don't see why its a sin. I mean say me and a significant other felt we we're ready to have sex and we were disease free. Why would it be wrong to do that, and if i used protection and was responsible for any consiquences than how would it lead to any harm. I can see that many other sins lead to self destruction, and financial destruction. Which would be drugs and gambling. But if me and someone want to have sex, then im suppose to say no. Why should i, i wont be rewarded for doing it, i probably won't feel any better then the guy that does do it. Its not like im going to have sex with the person and the next day be cruel to them, or if i get them pregnant i'll take care of the baby and get married if thats what I have to do. I just don't see whats so evil about it. And besides there won't be any sex or romance in heaven so why can't I enjoy it on earth. I mean heaven is eternity.

I'm a smoker and know the risk. It is my choice to smoke. NC is known for growing tobacco. I think the law makers are stepping over the line of our freedoms.

My girlfriend recently came over my house with her 10 week old daughter. I told her that I would try to have my 2 year old son sleeping when she comes over, so we'd have some alone time to talk. She walks into my house and she's annoyed because her daughter is not sleeping. She then looks down the hallway and sees my son, who is still awake, sighs with attitude and says, "He's still awake?" I said I was putting him to sleep soon. I put him in his room but he keeps waking up and opening the door. So I keep going in the room and shutting the door. She tells me,"Can you close his door a little more quietly? She is sensitive to sound" Then the phone rings and I hear her running to the phone and saying, "Oh no...the phone (because the ringing was going to disturb her AWAKE child)...how do you turn the ringer off!" I got off the phone and really wanted to say something but I held my tongue. This was 2 days ago. Should I say something or let it blow over? I'm really p!ssed at her...

Three married men died and went to heaven. At the pearly gates, St. Peter asked each one of them, how many times they have cheated their wives.

First Man: Never!

St. Peter checked his book and gave him a Rolls-Royce to drive during his stay in heaven.

Second Man: Aah, about 25-30 times.

St. Peter gave him a Ford Pinto.

Third Man: Maybe, 400-500 times.

St. Peter gave him a bicycle.

A few months later, the three met up . The Pinto driver and the bicycle rider were surprised as they noticed the Rolls-Royce man was very sad.

Second and Third Men: Why the sad face?

First Man: I just saw my wife, she was on a skateboard!

I have a 3 year old son. He has been potty-trained for about six months, but recently has been having many accidents (instead of going into the bathroom to use the potty he pees on th floor in the playroom). He is a smart boy, but I can't quite tell if he knows he has to pee and just doesn't want to go to the potty or if it REALLY is an accident. He does tell me if he has pain or hurts from falling or getting hit by something (such as if he is walking and not paying attention and runs into a door, ect.), but he has not said anything about having disconfort while peeing. If there was disconfort than it would lead me to think that there may be an infection that needs medical attention. What other signs should I look for to determine if there might be a medical reason for these accidents?
Do you have any advice on how I can help my son get over this obstacle if he is doing this behavior on purpose?

My husband and I separated April of last year but never filed for divorce because it was just to see if that's what we really wanted. So I moved out with my two kids. We were both on good terms about this and remained good friends and not just because of the kids but because we genuinely love eachother as friends but just didn't quite work together as a married couple. After 9 months separated we decided to start "dating" eachother, if that makes any sense, and kind of start fresh and see if our marriage is worth saving. To ask my initial question, would we have been able to file for a joint income tax return even though we lived in separate places? We both lived together in Omaha, NE and I moved back to Council Bluffs, IA when we separated, which they are basically border towns and its common to go back and forth between cities throughout the day or week.

A husband, so proud of the fact that his wife had given birth to 6 children, begins to call her "mother of six" rather than by her first name. The wife, amused at first, chuckles.

A few years down the road, the wife has grown tired of her husband's description. "Mother of six," he would say, "Get me a beer!" "Hey mother of six, what's for dinner tonight?" This type of situation persisted to a boiling point.

Finally, while attending a party with her husband, he jokingly yelled out, "Hey mother of six, I think it's time to go!"

The wife seized the moment and shouted back, "I'll be right with you - father of four!"
