Who cares.. we are 6 games ahead of the Yankees .. and they are totally distracted by threats of Joe Torre's job.. they have plenty of negative drama.. and it is early in the year.. all is good.. it is totally a coincidence that wake and tavarez are losing.. they haven't gotten much for run support to help them out..
OK.. let's play with your numbers.. 162 games in a year .. and the sox keep going 3 and 2 for the rest of the year with the current rotation.. that is still 98 wins this year.. that is just fine with me :)

Well, I tend to like Wakefield, we wouldnt have so may loses when he pitches if the team would score some runs. Saturday against the Yankees, Wakefield picthed really good, only gave up 3 runs but we lost because as usual the team scored nothing for him. Tavarez got the Sox a win yesterday against the Yankees and pitched pretty well in doing so. Lester will be coming up next week, Tavarez will either go to the bullpen or move down. Lester needed some time to recover from the cancer and that is why he has not been brought up, he needed some getting back into it since he hasnt pitched since the diagnosis.

Well, I would tend to agree on the losses getting old but, just think about the run support or, lack thereof that Wakefield has been getting..He has only given up 2 earned runs per loss. The Sox need to get hits and runs to back him up...As for Tavarez, today he did ok and we won so that was good..I do agree on Jon Lester too..It is time for him to come back. I guess one more start in Pawtucket and then they will decide..I think Tavarez is better at middle relief anyway.

Wake never gets runs support but he has always been a reliable pitcher for the Red Sox. As for Taverez, I can't stand him. He just sucks. Lester pitched well in a rehab start in AAA. 5 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks and 5 K's. He should be ready in a week. Also Clemens still hasn't chosen who he is going to be playing for yet. Which will be either Red Sox or Yankees.

I'll agree Tavarez hasn't done well, but this is his last start. Lester will be back after a rehab start for Pawtucket next week. Wakefield has his off days, but over time his numbers speak for themselves. Can't blame him when the bats go to sleep..
What does it mean when your rotation gives up a homer to Alex Cora? :)

Tavarez won the game yesterday, and Lester may not be ready yet. Still rehabbing in minors. But I see the point u made.

You can't blame wakefield for last night. He only gave up 3 runs and the Sox could only muster 1 run. He is your 4th pitcher who's job really is to just keep runs down and hope your offense can score some runs. If they can only put up one run it can be all of your pitchers with an L. He has been very consistent for the Sox and he has some blame but more blame can be put on the lineup.

ok
Tavarez, yeah he sucks
Wakefield only loses because we dont give him run support. he has the 3rd most wins and K's in red sox history, and he only gave up 3 runs, which is pathetic that we could only get 1. Varitek doesnt play when Wake pitches, which means we have to let Maribelli catch, and hit

I don't know how a pattern that results in a .600 winning percentage could get old. That pencils out to about 97 wins.

Yeah, I dont like that. I am getting sick of Wakefield being inconsitant and Tavarvez is just not a good starting pitcher at all.
