My husband just informed me that my sister in law is trying to be induced next week. They are going in for an ultra sound this week in hopes that everything looks good for her to induce next week. She is due on May 15th. She was put on bedrest 2 weeks ago because of a wierd reaction to some cold medicine, and she is extremly bored, very big and miserable. As I recalled from being pregnant, being huge and miserable the last few weeks is normal. I am just wondering if this would be okay for the baby. What kinds of risks are involved in this kind of early delivery? Would a doctor really do this if there was nothing wrong with the baby or mother, except that she is bored and miserable being so big? Please help me sort this out.
