Leviathan is the Hebrew word for a giant sea serpent.

There was a movie with Peter Weller (the RoboCop guy) called Leviathan. But that was years ago.

Maybe one of the recent movies like The Cave, or The Cover or Descent. No, it wasn't in the recent Hillary Swank movie - The Reaping.

Leviathan was a Biblical sea monster referred to in the Old Testament (Psalm 74:13-14; Job 41; Isaiah 27:1).The word leviathan has become synonymous with any large aquatic monster or creature. In the novel Moby-Dick it refers to great whales, and in Modern Hebrew, it means simply "whale".

Leviathan is mentioned in the book of Job, along with Behemoth. Job discusses these great beasts and the power that they display- a testament to God's magnificent creational abilities.

Many agree that Leviathan is most likely a reference to a saltwater crocodile, a large and powerful animal that stalked the waters of the land that Job was in (Middle East/Asia Minor). Behemoth is usually referred to as a hippopotamus, another beast Job and his peers would have been familiar with.

Not sure which movie you are referring to- is it maybe the new Hilary Swank one? The Reckoning or something like that??? Sorry I can't help you on that one :0)

A Leviathan is a large sea beast, like a whale.

There was a movie titled Leviathan. I believe Moby Dick was referred to a leviathan in the movie, too.

No one knows for sure what it was. Could be a whale, or a giant squid. Or Nessie. Or it might be something else entirely. Whatever it was, it was BIG. And it's been part of many movies, most obviously in 'Leviathan', although I didn't think much of that particular depiction.

A Leviathan is a sea monster, specifically of Biblical lore.

I don't know what movie it was mentioned it, but I imagine it was more than one movie.

Leviathan is a dragon or serpent like creature that lives in the water. I know the Final Fantasy VIII game has one.
