No, it's not Satan. It's the logical part of your brain telling you this is a creepy cult. Perhaps, if the jargon of a specific religion creeps you out, you should find a religion that better suits you. Remember that, like it or not, people choose their religion; it does not choose them. Maybe your personality does not fit with theism of any sort. If you have a low tolerance for idiocy and a nose for logic, maybe you don't have to have a religion tell you how to live your life. Maybe you can let your own code of morals guide you.

I'm creeped out by the jargon "Satan messing with my head."

Feeling creeped out is sensing devils sometimes. I don't know what you mean by religious jargon.

But feeling start as a thought & is a chemical reaction in our body.

When we are born of His Spirit, feelings can be in your spiritman in your body, based on a souls decision & God revealing something to you. And is also discernement of spirits. We are to follow after the spirit & pray about this to know what to do.

I think too much gets blamed on "Satan". When I was growing up, my Dad would blame each and every bad thought or bad thing that happened on "Satan".

Got a flat tire...well gee...it's Satan trying to get at you. Hurricane ruin your day...that's Satan doing it to you.

In this universe, things wear out, people get sick, disasters strike, and people die. It is what it is.

There are a LOT of religious nut cases, and many of them are poor examples of what Christianity should be. Listen to your instincts, and if you're getting creeped out, it is time to leave. Find someplace where you feel comfortable. It took me years to find a good church, and I know you can find one too.

It might be. I'm not sure why religion makes people uncomfortable. Religious people are mostly devoted to a life of peace and caring. There ARE some crazy zealots out there, but they are not the majority. Even if you are an athiest, I still don't get why the fact that people believe in God bothers them. My one theory is that those who do not believe might be uncomfortable about that will happen if they are wrong. I say just live and let live. Christians and other religions aren't out to harm people. Don't be creeped out!!

It may be your pride also, we all inherently want to be right, sometimes when we don't understand something it frustrates us, it's easier to just say you don't like something than to actually try to understand it, the language of the bible will be unclear if you do not have the Holly Spirit in you, you must have spiritual discernment to truly understand, also if you are saved, and still have difficulty understanding some of it, it is very important to use aids to help you, like history books, dictionaries, Greek, and Hebrew dictionaries, strongs Concordance, and commentaries, to name just a small few, God Bless.

Messing with your head? Like what a word problem...

"Jesus is traveling south at 2mph with his cross on his back. It's 10 miles to the site. How long before Jesus is crucified?"

LOL as someone who is accused of worshiping a demi-god that I don't even believe in, my vote is no. I get a little creeped out by people so convinced they are right that are willing to hate in the name of it, too so we can talk to satan together.

Depends...

If you see people on the TV speaking in tongues and talking about being saved...well, that is just CREEPY.

If it is something about a commandment that just doesn't feel right due to your lifestyle, well, it could be those evil little thoughts creeping into your head.

Perhaps it is your unsettled inner spirit, pushing you to search for better answers than said jargon?
