I'm an intelligent woman who was a straight-A student & should be doing more with her life than working in the restaurant business.
I'm 28 yrs old, and a college drop-out. I should never have left college, because I'm intelligent (top 10% of my class), and value education.
I love to travel & have a high aptitude for languages.

At this point in my life, it's time to get serious. I believe 4 yrs in the Navy could get me places that 4 yrs on my own wouldn't lead me to right now.
I don't really have any reason to NOT join. Maybe a fear of dying, but I believe the Navy places me at less risk.
I am ready for a challenge, and want to invest my time wisely.
But what if I hate it and am miserable?

I'm a smart cookie, and I think I'm wasting my brain and my talents by just living life as please.
I got a 95 on my ASVAB entrance exam & am interested in becoming a CTI (Interpreter) which means I'd go to Defense Language Inst. in Monterey for training.
Please help me with my decision. Thank you!

As a liberal I oppose all forms of killing people no matter what size they are.

I do think the Bible was right with the paluative care suggestions. "Give strong drink to a dying man"

My parents were both Christians and they tried to brainwash me to believe in what they believe in. I was brainwashed for a little while. I believed in Jesus and God when I was little, then I fiigured out my parents were just trying to lie to me. People told me that God and Jesus were not real and I believed them. I have seen many websites which have convinced me that God and Jesus were not real. There is no evidence that Jesus and God were real. What's funny is most people believe in what their parents believe in, but I don't.

It seems like every issue has become a moral issue where there is no retreat or compromise. It's gotten to the point that a Liberal and a Conservative can't have a political discussion without breaking things. It's destroying the country. From abortion, gun control, immigration, health care, social security, globalization, death penalty, taxes, welfare, religion, unions, terrorism, iraq, and just about every important issue we fail to do anything because we are unwilling to ever risk compromise. Why did this happen?

Some conservatives seem to be unable to disagree with liberal viewpoints without becoming venomous. I've seen some idiotic questions from both liberals and consevatives, but the absolutism seems to mostly be conservative. Why is that?

John 7:16 Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
It should be:
Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is Mine, and my Father's.

Joh 4:34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
It should be:
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do My will which is also my Father's will , and to accomplish Our work.

Mt 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
It should be:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but Me and My Father only.

There are many verses like the above where Jesus is telling everybody that he and God are different and he Does Not Belong to the so called Godhead or Trinity. If he was God, wouldnt the verses be like the above. Would anyone dare to question the Christians as they could proudly point to the verses and show.
But, it is NOT to be cos Jesus is NOT GOD !

I'm looking to get a fixed gear and I'm deciding between the two. I trust both companies but I hear Bianchi is better. Anyway, I think the major noticeable difference are some measurements and the fork. The Raleigh fork is straight where as the Bianchi Pista isn't.

As soon as I realised I'd lost it, I emailed my sister and she rang it. The phone was answered, and the person on the other end said they'd return it to the supermarket they'd found it in(IOW where I dropped it) the next day. He said he hadn't contacted anyone because he couldn't find a contact labelled 'home', although I do have an ICE number. That was on Thursday, and it still hadn't been returned this afternoon(Sunday).I'm thinking it may not be. Details were not exchanged, as it was very late at night, so I have no idea who this person is. I've had the phone blocked(It's on contract), so I can't ring it up and hope for an answer.

If the person who answered it never intended to return my property, is it theft? Does 'finders-keepers' apply within the law, and for property that can be easily traced to its owner?

I can see it wouldn't be if it was cash or something unidentifiable, but as a phone has its owner's ID stamped all over it, are the rules different?

I'm in the UK, FYI.

To start, I feel off a ladder, two steps, and hurt my foot - thought nothing of it, just thinking I sprained it. Until I was feeling and hearing popping noises and having pain. Went to the doc and found out that I broke a bone but it healed and I have bone fragments floating about. So I have had surgery on my foot to remove two pieces of bone back in September and all went well. But for two months now I have had mild to severe right leg thigh pain. I am a retail manager so I am on my feet constantly, but when I have a chance to rest it will hurt and sometimes it will hurt even if I am on it. It aches, burns and sometimes have stabbing pains along with a brief cold feeling. Those pains are off and on but what is constant more than anything is a dull ache and pain near the inner thigh near the knee. There is no skin discoloriation or swelling. And sometimes it hurts to walk. I have seen my podiatrist and he gave me a referal to see the Physical Therapist. The PT did two sessions with me on the pain in the thigh with light therapy and an electro one. By my third session she said do you feel any better and I said no. So she told me to go see the Orthopedic, so I did. The Ortho doc looked me over, moved my leg around and touch certain areas to trigger the pain. Unfornatly, I had a good day with no pain and nothing seem to set it off. So she had no idea - she gave me a question mark in my file. But when I left to go home I was feeling pain so I went back up to see her and she didn't even see me - the nurse offered me medicine. The day after my appointment I still had the pain and the next day after that I was in extreme pain to the point that I was about to cry. And now I am not that much in pain - finally subsided. But this pain is off and on so that is why the doc had no clue. - Where do I go to? I was wondering if this is another issue not related to the surgery or accident. Or it is arthritis and it hurts the foot as well as the leg. Please help.
