There is really no way to answer this question. Case in point: Harsha Gupta may have influenced India, but do you think the **Your country here** cared? Of course not! You probably don't know who he is, but in South Asia, he's a hero! You have to be more specific!

Not only is it difficult to answer this question, because the answers will be different according to your country or your continent, but there is another point which I find impossible to define here (in a few words, I mean): how do you measure influence? Influence in terms of ideas? Of action? Of fame? Good or bad influence?

well i would have to say that, no matter what your religion or what you think about it, that answer might have to be Jesus. after that, i might say Alexander the Great, as the effects of his conquests/reign were felt in such a large portion of the world. after that, you might say whomever was the ruler of England when they did the majority of their colonizing of other countries.
