Darn ! I just sold it yesterday !
Seriously...it was a '98 Taurus- 1 owner (we had it on consignment from a widower), SE, with Buckets, Moonroof, 82k miles, power: windows & locks,-seat, tilt, cruise, auto, a/c, windows, etc. mechanically sound, cosmetically good.

There are lots of used cars that you can purchase. I suggest you do a search on a car search engine like www.autotrader.com, www.cars.com, or go to Yahoo! Auto and do a search. Do a search for something low like $4000, then you know that you will have $1000 left over for taxes & fees. Good Luck!

I highly recommend a 1995 and up Nissan Maxima. They are very fun to drive, comfortable and reliable. If taken care of they easily last past 200,000 miles. The earlier Maximas prior to 95 had some problems though, so 95 and up.

You could purchase a used 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood for that. They are very good cars.
