This guy asked me out and my sister kinda liked him but i really liked him too. I really want to break up with my current boyfriend for him but my sister says I'm selfish. These are people preaching from the pulpit every Sunday about morals....

Telling you and I how we should live our lives.

People look to them for inspiration/direction

Doesn't this make them a hypocrite?

Sure I sin, but I do not stand in front of a bunch of people pounding my fist on the pulpit and telling everyone else what sinners they are.

There is such a double standard among fundamentalists...pick on the gays because they are fewer in numbers...but, oh no stay away from preaching about divorce because it affects too many....

I think pastors and churches are just afraid of losing the divorced people's monetary contribution to the church...so, they look the other way on this sin....

What hypocrites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sitting outside the bar on a bench and two cops drove up because someone reported an intoxicated person outside. I was just sitting there but I was very drunk. I was just going to walk home but it was preety far. Could he have arrested me if I wasn't being a disturbance, I was just quietly sitting there? One was kind enough to give me a ride but he did take my license and wrote down the info. on it. He knew me because I worked at a gas station he frequented while on duty. Why'd he write down my info.? Should I worry about this? Or is this normal protocal? I'm glad he didn't arrest me becuase it is so wrong if someone isn't making a disturbance and is of legal age and WAS NOT DRIVING.

Hi. My hair is kinda puffy and it is really thick. I keep my hair long but layered. I'm afraid to cut it to shoulder length cuz i'm afraid my hair will be puffier. I really want to have volumizing, thin, smooth and shiny hair - like reese witherspoon's! How should i cut it? Any ideas? Help plz.

It is true- you always hear believers telling you 'you may think that, but I /know/ I'll be in heaven, and you'll be in hell'..

They refuse to ever accept the FACT that their faith, like my anti-faith, is a mere opinion, but atleast my opinion can be corroborated and proven a little further than theirs can..

Christians say they 'know', but they really dont.. If all it is is 'faith' in god, then for all the world, it is only faith, and not fact.

It is not a proven deal then, that my sexual preferences or personal choices will land me in hell, or that your lack of self-esteem and your need to devote your life and mind to being controlled by a book and false deity will land you in heaven..

Until you, me, EVETYONE dies, we don't /know/..

I have a really bad health anxiety disorder and i have a tremendous fear of becoming ill to cancer. i dont know why. no one in my family or my circle of friends have had cancer. why do i feel this way? Im seeing a doctor over this but it hasnt been resolved. does any one understand how i feel.
