What do you think would have happened if America invaded Nanking,during the Rape of Nanking?

(continued): to stop the Japanese from killing over 300,000 people...Any inputs on ending the war (WWII) quicker/saving the Chinese etc?

The US would have gotten it's *** kicked, it was not mobilized at the time.

During the 1930s, the US military ranked 65th in the world. It had only a handful of soldiers; and in the famous 1937 war games held in Lousianna, Soldiers went out in the field with broom handles instead of rifles, while the word "Tank" was painted on the sides of trucks (to simulate armor). This was the era of the Great Depression, and available government funds were being spent on domestic programs rather than building up the military.

Government spending for military purposes did not begin to pick up until 1941, and began to skyrocket in 1942. But leading up to the war. The American military was virtually non-existent.

FIRST, the Rape of Nanking occurred in 1937-38... almost 4 years prior to the United States entry to the war...

Second, the USA simple did NOT have the personnel, material, or transport to cross the Pacific and land sufficient force to engage Japan and protect the Chinese at Nanjing.

The US DID have small forces along the Yangtze River... China Marines (United States Marines from the 4th Marine Regiment) who were stationed in Shanghai, China during 1927 - 1941 to protect American citizens and their property in the Shanghai International Settlement during the Chinese Revolution and the Second Sino-Japanese War. Just prior to Pearl Harbor, the 4th Marine Regiment was moved from China to the Philippines.

A single Marine Regiment would have been slaughtered by Japanese forces.

Many different previous era's in historic past have been the two abhorrent and WW II observed the dying and suffering of thousands and thousands of harmless human beings. we are blessed to understand that God will fix issues out for people who could be punished constantly and people who will savor eternal peace, exhilaration and happiness in Heaven. All previous sorrows would be forgotten like a scraped knee once you have been a baby. that doesn't preclude us from combating for what's basically and top. And the individuals of Japan paid dearly for following their militaristic government. basically the ineffective have considered the tip of war.
