They are so stuck up and rude. I posted a polite question earlier today on bilateral relations after the VA Tech shooting as was called names by nearly all the Canooks on there.

One answerer pleaded "Canadians stop with the rampant anti-Americanism. Its so illogical and unecessary," however it was too late and the Canadians had already proved themselves to be foaming at the mouths.

I think another answerer summed it up well when they said "Canada is like that nosy neighbor with no life of his own, but just HAS to tell you how great he is..and, by comparison, imply that you're not." And I feel with such a terribly crude populace its any wonder indeed why the USA and Canada are considered allies.

My husband of 10 years overreacts to pretty much everything. He puts 110% of himself into his work and career and going golfing with his buddies and when he is at home he is always barking orders at the kids and if they don't respond within a split second he goes off on them and acts like they just got brought home by the police for something awefull. One is 10 and the other is 8. He has no patience with them and no interest in trying to talk to them and teach them. He rarely spends any quality time with them and has the attitude of children should be seen not heard. He doesn't do anything with our son and when i finally get him to go outside and play catch or shoot hoops they are back in in about 5 minutes for one reason or another and its usually the "fault" of our son. I dont know what to do. I grew up with a father that was very similar but worse as he could be physically abusive. My husband in not.

I don't pay much attention to my teacher that I assist for. I mean I do things that she tells me to do, but I don't look at her all the time and stuff. I think she tries to stuff to get my attention just so I'd notice her. Like when she gives me something to grade, she'll kinda slam the pen down on the papers then stand there for a few seconds and stare at me. Once, I was out in the hall grading papers and she came out there for no reason and stood there and stomped her foot once, then when I looked at her she smiled and told me the same thing that she said before about what to do with the papers. Then today, she walked around asking a question and walked by me and asked me "ain't that right?" and kinda pushed my head down. But when I talk to her, she hardly pays any attention to me. Why does she act like this? I was a previous student of hers so we've known each other for over a year. I'm a girl by the way.

What do you suppose a soldier should do if he is an otherwise exemplary soldier (fit, respected, decorated, highly motivated, etc) and gay? Does he have a moral obligation to be himself and thus get expelled from the service? Or should he deny his feelings in the interest of "good soldiering"? Should he continue to support a service that, if they knew he were gay, could prosecute him (if he were a "practicing" gay)? Or should he part ways with a hippocritical orginization and withdraw his support of his service?

I went to school with a guy who was the typical "misfit loner" type. I never mocked him, or was mean to him, but I never went out of my way to be nice to him either. Several years ago, he was sent to prison for killing his girlfriend's infant (less than 6 months old). I have always wondered what happened that made him "turn the corner" from thought to action. I wonder if a smile or a kind word from somebody could have changed anything for him.

I know it's the "chaos theory", but I think that small things probably matter more to some people.

i don't want to hear what you guys thing is a "politically correct" answer. i want to know, who do you guys feel like has the right to call themselves americans?

is your criteria simply someone who is born here? or maybe someone who is a "white" person? or maybe only whites whose lineage is for england? do you simply need to have a certain complexion, hair texture, eye color?

when things are going good, i hear many people saying, it's all love, we're all american's, etc...
but when tragedy strikes, i start to hear alot of "go back to your own country...", even if you are born here...
