I don't fear it, I understand that all we have that's important is trust, honor, and respect. Commitment is the result of extending beyond these three things, sometime past the point of benefit. Why stay with someone who doesn't want you there because of commitment? That's how anger and abuse can begin to take hold. People leave because they have broken the foundations of their relationship, and/or grown apart.

I do not have a fear of commitment when it comes to a relationship, but for some reason guys fear comitting to me. I am a good woman, and I'm not a braggart either, I just know that I am. The guys that I have dated, I have ended up leaving them because they are just taking too long to make a committment. The relationship becomes stagnant and complacent. They get too comfortable in the "boyfriend" role when I'm ready to advance to the "wifey" role. We aren't on the same page and causes friction and leads to break-up.

I don't fear commitment at all. Like they say...its better to love and lost, then to never love at all. Commitment shouldn't be a priority or put as a challenge. It seems alot of people need to hear you say...I'll stay with you forever...and forever is a BIG commitment. If the relationship is meant to be, the question will never be brought up. Its always when you question their commitment that this question arises, and if it does, it must not be right then.

Personally I don't, but many do. I have been with my boyfriend since I was 16 years old. It's been 11 years now. I think if you really love the person then it does not matter if you are married or not. In today's world marriage has become over rated. I say that, because there are so many divorces happening. People give up way to easy. If you truly love someone fight for them, because in most cases you might not find the same thing again.

I only fear commitment when I commit to something I know I can't do (impossible we can do anything we want). There is NO point of making a commitment when/if you know you can't really commit or keep to it

It depends who I'm with. If I ever find the right, special person then, no, I don't suppose I'd fear settling down with them. If I really like someone, however, but I'm not sure that they are THE ONE, then yes, I fear commitment.

The biggest commitment I've made in my life is to my daughter...she is the only one who will get all of me. I don't fear commitment...I shy away from it.

I don't fear commitment. I'm just afraid of getting hurt by someone that does.
