1.) what is meant by the term 'miracle'

2.)how was jesus presented as a worker of miracles (preferably frome luke's gospel)

3.)what is the meanin of healing miracles with reference to present day belief and christian life

AT my school im trying to promote a GSA, i have tons of information, but right now, i need to figure out a way to start one in my catholic high school. My school board is telling me its against the bible. and i belive its not. jesus accepted everyone, he talked to people everyone else discriminated against. All i ask it for this club to get rid of bullying going on in our school. Please give me something to pin them on.

Remember though, my school it catholic.. i can't follow the equal access act.

I also have someone already disagreeing with me. PLEASE HELP!

My friend's daughter (8 years old) is taking her first holy communion next month. I was invited to attend the ceremony and a reception afterwards. I am not Catholic, but the family means a lot to me and I would like to attend. My questions are as follows:

What should I expect to see? Will it be strange? Lengthy?

What should I wear? (I am a male)

Am I expected to bring a gift? A card? Flowers?

What is an approriate congratulations for this? Am I expected to say something to her?

Look at the top grossing US movies and they are mostly violent mass killings such as Shooter, Disturbia, Grindhouse, etc. The best American film of last year was about everybody basically killing everyone in the Departed. How does that inspire? Video game makers are raking in millions of dollars selling violent video games full of shooting rampages and cop killing.
Kids growing up in American are exposed to years of desensitized violence via these media outlets. The student from South Korea that killed all these students had lived in the US for 15 years, not a recent arrival that some irresponsible Chicago paper concocted, typical of so much of the media that rushes to grab viewers with out checking the facts. All the major networks started repeating the same erroneous story of a Chinese student on an American Airlines flight from S.F. did the shooting. The US media was asking everyone to send in their home videos of the shooting to boost their ratings.
If it bleeds it leads.

I have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents etc. You get the picture. I worked out that if you go back 50 generations (in other words to the time of the first Anglo Saxon settlers in the British Isles) I should be able to pick out trillions and trilions of ancestors. Just try doubling the number 50 times, Excel can't even display the number.
But there weren't that many people in the world at that time, so... what happened to all my ancestors ??

If you read Kenneth Hagin, there are different kinds of demons. The rulers of the darkness of this age are the ones that actually possess a person, that person is usually unsaved. The wicked spirits in heavenly places, principalities, and powers are not as severe as the rulers. If you look into the gunman's eyes you will get a fiery hot feeling, so don't look too long, but that is a demon in there. Read Kenneth Hagin's Demon series and don't dis everything I just said just because I am a woman or because it is too far out. Yes, this S. Korean kid may have gotten bad grades or have gotten dumped by a girlfriend but he WAS demon possessed just like Hitler probably was.

My kids 4 and 2 have been at this same daycare for a year...Lately it seems they have me on speed dial...And my kids were sick, but over every little thing they want him to go to the dr and get a return to school note...I undestand not wanting to get other kids sick also. My son was had a rash and was on antibiotics for a whole week - Then THEY noticed the rash, but had me pick him up and go get checked out again and a note saying he could be there....He had diaerra and I had to get him, Since diaerra is a symptom of a few things BUT its also a side effect of a new med he started! My daughter they had me take her to get a Drs note over chapped lips...They looked funky but they were chapped lips!
Is this normal...Also they dont want a kid there after 24 hrs after having a tempature...But they want a note from a Dr saying they cna return.....But a temp I can take that....
