Why is OK for foreign distance runners to compete for Japanese high school track clubs, but yet as far as I know you have to be Japanese to play HS baseball? If a Kenyan kid can run in the Hakone Ekiden, shouldn't a kid from the Dominican Republic be allowed to pitch at Koshien? I'm just asking for consistency from sport to sport.

K so i've basically got this art thing again. It's on shopping centres and the artist i've got is called Richard Estes (photo realism) and i have no idea what to do at all. I can basically do anything. I've got an A3 piece of watercolour paper, but I can use any materials and I have time to go get anything else like a canvas or whatever.
My teacher thinks I should be doing something with reflections.
Any ideas pls?

We are planning to visit Australia in the month of May 2007 and while on our way from Delhi (India ) to Brisbane we have a six hours halt at Singapore.Can we go to the city for few hours without a visa, coz i have read online that if one has all the tickets and visa for onward journey, one can stay in Singapore for upto 96 hours without a visa.
Please guide me if we can visit the city without any hassle.

Help me understand this. I understand that indefinite intergrals are the antiderivative of the equation plus a constant.
For example, ∫ cos(x) dx = sin(x)+C where C is an unknown constant [because cos(x) is derivative of sin(x)]. However, I don't know where to start with this:
∫ (x^3 - 1)^2 dx
Please help me understand how to do this.

I have a 4 year solid gap in my employment history. I was drunk, and in and out of recovery. I am completely sober now, and have been for 2 1/2 years. While I was in and out of halfway houses and treatment, I worked a job for a day, another one for a few months, a few others. How do I explain this in my resume or at an interview. Everytime I fill out an application I feel I am going to confession. I made a mistake, but before it got really bad, I had good jobs. I have always been promoted to a lead position, and have worked in customer service for about 15 years. I have some college courses completed, but no degree. I need a job bad, and most jobs without a degree, I am overqualified for, I am 36 now, and I really need help. I need a job badly. Also, as luck would have it- two companies I worked for (a combination of 10 years of my life) will not verify my employment unless the place I apply to pays a 'fee' to a third party for information. Who would do that? I wouldn't.

im not sure whats wrong with me? ive been getting these nervious shakeing, vomit feelings when i get sad. and i feel like im gona be sick and its only when i get upset. but i get really really upset. and have bad thoughts... i know im not suicidal but its bad... any advice. alot has been goin on in my life rihgt now.... (bad stuff) and im gettin worried im gona have a break down or something. im very logical and i REALIZE i might have a problem right now but i dont know how to handle it... has anyone ever felt this way. were u get soo upset u dont even cry u jsut feel like shakey and nasaus. cause that how i feel thanks alot

Many of the people on this site were jumping on the bandwagon, stating that this criminal (VTech shooter) was an atheist, and now that a little evidence comes to light that he was most likely NOT an atheist (athesits do not complain about "debauchery and deceitful charlatans"), everyone refuses to pass judgement or they say his religion doesnt matter??

You all know darn well that if this guys note said "Im an atheist and Im killing people because of it" you'd be having a field day with it, using it to further your political and religious agenda. However, now that you cannot use this person as a political pawn because he wasnt atheist, you turn tables and refuse to pass judgement or state that the religion or lack thereof doesnt really matter....

Dont get me wrong - I do not think that his religion or lack thereof has anything to do with the reasons he did what he did. But it irks me taht his perceived lack of religion yesterday was a major topic, and now "doesnt matter."
