I complain about things that are bothering me. I know there are other people who has it worst than i do but it helps me to get my feelings out. I want to stop complaining about the stupid and insignificant things. How do I stop?

I complain about my room mate, she doesn't do her share of chores. I complain about friends, family, news, almost anything.

When you are about to complain, stop, say it in your mind first, if it sounds stupid, or insignificant, then don't say it! Only say the things that someone could actually do something about to fix them. Don't complain about things that nobody can do anything about, that makes you seem like such a downer to be around. Sometimes if you say things out loud first (when no one can hear you) it makes it easier to tell if it comes out like you think it will, or if it seems stupid once you actually say it out loud. Good Luck!

I also complain about things constantly. But what may seem stupid and insignificant to others may be important to you! Sure there are others who have it worse but theres just as many who have it better too. I say use your voice and dont settle for anything less than the best!!! If they dont like you for who you are and what you feel is right then they dont deserve your friendship!!!!!

Write 'em down if that helps. Don't complain about things you can change, just change them. If you can't change them, then what use is complaining?

Mentioning something is one thing...but just about anyone will tire of hearing someone go on and on and on, over and over and over about an issue that they either won't take action to change, or cannot change themselves. If you REALLY need someone to complain to that badly, get a therapist and spare your friends/family.

Count your blessings.
When you learn to be grateful for all you have, you will learn to be happy.
Happy people rarely complain.
