that george w. bush was able to GET over to Virginia very swiftly after the attack at Virginia Tech, THE VERY NEXT day...but when hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and parts of Mississippi and other coastal areas...he did NOT appear for two entire weeks!.....im outraged at his performance as a leader of the United States of America...what are YOUR opinions on this?

You hear 'God Bless America' the most. Why do most people have the conceit and ignorance that they can tell God what to do?

God will bless what he/she/it feels like blessing. No one can and should never tell God what to bless. Who the hellll r u?! That phrase is absurd! To truly honor God... It should be 'Please God could you please bless the United States?' (America = north and south america so saying united states is correct since most people really mean the united states not the whole america) That's what I say cuz I have respect for God (the Christian one).

Let's say I have two 350W permanent magnet 24V DC motors. They are both, for argument sake, identical and put out 1.2 Nm of torque each at some rated load. They are both powered by a pulse width modulator controller that is capable of delivering more than 700W. If I were to connect the two together via a chain and connect that to the rated load, would they produce (ideally) double the torque?

I happened across 10 of these 350W motors and would like to use (at least one of) them to build a go kart. If 350W doesn't suit my need for speed, instead of buying a larger motor, I would like to simply use a few more smaller ones that I already have. I understand they will use twice the power, so I'll need extra batteries, but that's not a problem as I would need those extra batteries for a larger motor anyways....thanks for your feedback and advice!!

I'm participating in the Gay, Lesbian, Trans. Day of silence April 18 2007 tomorrow.

I'm straight, it is just that since I support gays so much, I have been treated as gay people do get treated in school, and guess what, it's not pretty.


Heres the question, I'm a little worried that even if I give my teachers the card excusing me from speaking, some of them WILL refuse this....

I've been eating really really healthy -- lots of fruit + veggies and soups and low fat, high fiber foods. Normally I cheat a lot in my eating and eat pastries or chocolate bars or ice cream but I've been religious in my nutrition for 5 days. Wasn't expecting to LOSE a ton of weight in this short period -- but I really can't understand why in the world I would have GAINED 2.5 pounds. Worked out once. Should do that more, but still... my food intake is far better than it used to be. I must be eating 500 less calories a day than normal -- aiming for about 1200-1400. Any words of wisdom appreciated.
