This is strange but very good questions some INDIAN has asked.

If you talk to people above 80 years in INDIA- they say YES- British were better. too agree with them although knowing very well what slavery is. But still after more than half a century of PSEUDO- INDEPENDENCE - we are in bad shape.

I do not think that INDIA can be a super power. I do not think that INDIA is democratic and if any fellow INDIAN wants to discuss -you can contact me through email- I will try to reply all.

DEMOCRACY IN INDIA: Where votes and voters are purchased / threatened/ and devided by CASTE and RELIGION - how can one say that TRUE representation is being sent to DELHI.

1. More than half of our country sleeps in poverty- abused and hurt...squeezed badly and treated badly.

2. LAW- needs badly update.

3. EDUCATION & MEDICAL: Only for those who have hot pockets.

4. FROM WHERE GROWTH IS COMING ?
Perhaps banglore and hyderabad are contributing besides NOIDA and couple of more cities.

5. AGRICULTURE: Govt. does not need it-people need food. Govt. wants MNC to come and make BIO-FOOD. perhaps this is why agriculture land is being thrown into TATAs and AMBANI's beacuse INDIA needs SEZ not food.

I think this is too much.....I am stopping here.

And yes- British gave India a lot...

1. Medicine
2. Education
3. Technology
4. Divide and Rule : Law of RULE on earth !

Not at all. During British Raj, they did everything for themselves and nothing for the improvement and prosperity of India. They also adopted the policy of divide and rule. They injected the poison of regionalism among the people before leaving Indian shore with an idea that the people of India shoulkd never live unitedly.

Yes & No. it did bring in proper administration, better infrastructure, proper management of resources, good postal & education systems.... and no because all this was done to help british run India.
