If you ask a random person what they know about Islam, you will get some random responses. People generally know that Muslims worship Allah, but don't know much else. Plenty of people will venture incorrect guesses, like 'Islam is an Arab religion" or "Islam is only about Jihad" along with the mistaken idea that the word means Holy war. One of the more popular ideas that is now spreading is that "Terrorists are promised 72 virgin women when they die."

The "72 virgins" idea is probably the most overblown idea that people seem to remember about Islam. It's turning into a real stereotype...

hilarity and the rest of her gun control croanies will be speaking out for gun control legislation. It is a real tragedy that took place today on the V-tech campus, but if the shooter wanted to get guns and ammo bad enough, he would have regardless of gun control laws.

Yeah. I was thinking. This wall is just as bad as the Berlin Wall. We are keeping people out of our country. This leads me to say our FREE country. Whats so wrong with Mexicans? My younger sister is married to an ex-gay and she is experiencing SEVERE marital trouble. She constantly complained to me how unfulfilling their love life is. They did manage to have two kids though. He eventually became very depressed, distant, verbally and emotionally abusive. Then he cheated on her with another man recently and is back in "gay rehab". I have to accept that my sister made her choice and must carry the responsibility for it. On the other hand, what if her choice was influenced by FALSE information? Many people do not know all the facts nor that medical professionals condemn these programs. Her husband and his church convinced her that it is TRUE. I am sure others as well.

Personally I am VERY skeptical and I disagree STRONGLY that gay people should be encouraged to marry straight people and bring this kind of turmoil into their lives. How exactly do you change from gay to straight?
