A rare celestial phenomenon of near-miraculous coincidence of size and distance that the moon appears as exactly the right size to cover the sun so perfectly and reveal the corona. Total eclipses are widely regarded as one of Nature’s greatest spectacles. The chill and sweep of the Moon’s shadow, the sparkle of Bailey’s beads, and the sight of the corona blazing across the darkened daytime sky are life-altering experiences for some observers. If the Moon were slightly smaller than the Sun, the best eclipses would be annular ones with no dramatic corona or blackening of the daytime sky. If the Moon were slightly larger, the full glory of the chromosphere and prominences surrounded by the glowing corona would be lost. Fortunately, the Moon is “just right.” Earth is the only planet in the solar system with spectacular solar eclipses. Thanks to an apparently improbable coincidence, the Sun and the Moon are almost exactly the same size as seen from Earth. The Sun is 400 times larger than the Moon, but it is also 400 times farther away.

I left my job 7 months ago, but still currently work in the same geography as the last job, calling on the same customers. From time to time, I send "hello" e-mails and text messages to my former boss to keep communication lines open. Besides, I know that I left in good terms, although I also know that she never really knew the real reasons that made me leave. I left not because of her, but for other reasons. I thought that she and I had a good boss-employee relationship, but I feel that she took my resignation as some kind of betrayal. Initially, she used to answer the e-mails and text messages. Lately, I get no response. I suspect that she wants me to leave her alone and that she would like for each of us to move on. However, I see no reason why we can't remain friends. Your thoughts, please.

I say Kevin Martin of the Sacramento Kings. He averaged 10.8 last year, now he's averaging 21.1. although if you were watching TNT's Inside the NBA the didn't even mention his name.

OK here is my problem. I have a 115 lb. male rottie and an 90 lb. female. My female went into heat about a month ago and they bred. My wife told me that the male growled at her through their fence. ( I have a separate yard for my dogs) I went out to see for myself and nothing. A few days ago I had my kids out and had the male on lead. I brought him out to the main yard and the kids were playing and they petted the two dogs. I went back into the dog yard with both the male and the female and had my daughter and wife walk over to the dog yard. My male began to show his teeth as if to bark at my family so I hit him over the head. I then had him sit at the gate and had them come over again. He showed his teeth so I busted him over the head again. He turned toward me and then retreated to his house. Both dogs ran into the house as I yelled and he sat inside growling and would not come out until I called him. He has never acted this way and I was wondering how I could fix this.

Why do they insist on harping on SUPPORT THE TROOPS and if you don't you're supporting the terrorists, but.............

when our military men and women come back they run into s*%^t like Walter Reed?

Jose Ramos, a student at George Mason University in Virginia, lost an arm during combat in 2004. He praised the medical care at Walter Reed — once he could get an appointment.

He described having to wait four hours after a scheduled appointment to get in, as well as rescheduling follow-up visits.

"I constantly had to re-explain my symptoms and medical history. It was like starting all over again every time I had an appointment," Ramos said.

Navigating the VA system was just as bad, Ramos said. "The VA system, much like the military medical outprocessing system, is a labyrinth of offices and paperwork that no one seems to want to help with."

Easier to sit at home and preach BEFORE they come back to be a 'burden' in their own country?

I need to find out for what values of A and B is the statement correct.
lim {under square root (Ax+B)} -3 divided by x = 1
x apporaches 0
Only the Ax + B is under the square root -3 is not under the square root. It's divided by only x.

I already have searched many different sites, sifted through hundreds of pages, and have downloaded and tried a number of different timers and none of them do what I need them to do.

So, I am looking for someone to recommend a specific timer rather than suggest places or sites to look.
The problem is that the descriptions on the freeware sites are often vague... they will say the timer can cout down or up (as separate functions), but none specifically highlight the #1 feature that I am looking for.

What I am looking for is a free, downloadable countdown timer with two specific features:

1. The timer has to count down to zero then CONTINUE to count up.
2. The timer needs to be resizable.

Any recommendations of a specific timer (and where I can download it) would be appreciated.

Thanks!
