While Kobe has had a good year there is no chance of him winning MVP. As everybody else has said it will go to Nash or Dirk. Most likely Dirk even though i think Nash deserves it more. That team does not work without him. Kobe will not win it if for no other reason than his team is going to limp into the playoffs if they make it at all. You can not give the MVP to a player who's team is .500.

Kobe Bryant is the best player in this leauge....however he cannot bring his team to at least the 6th seed. In the beginning of the year, he was in a a big race for MVP. As his team died down, so did his votes for MVP. Going into last nights game against the Suns, I felt Kobe still had a chance to win the MVP. However with a poor shooting night and another Lakers' loss and the other candidate for MVP, Nash, outshined Kobe, there was no way. I think it is going to be Dirk Nowitzki, because he led his team to the top Western Conference seed. And without those four loses in the begining of the year, the Mavericks would have had a chance to break the Bulls' 72-10 record.

As much as Kobe DESERVES MVP this year, he will not get it. He won't get it for the simple fact that NBA analysts and commentators look at him and say that the Lakers record isn't as good as the records of Dallas and Phoenix, which hinders him; they think that Nash and Dirk deserves it more. But they fail to realize that Kobe has been leading this team to stay above .500 with the severe injuries that the Lakers has had to fight through. Dont you know that the Lakers starters have only played 16 games together this season out of a total of 79 games so far? Analysts and commentators fail to realize that and what he has done for the Laker Franchise throughout those injuries. Kobe has the determination, skills, and, abilities that definately deserves the title of MVP this year. I really dont understand how the best player in the entire NBA hasn't received a MVP award yet?

This is coming from a Sacramento Kings fan, I think Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world as of now. Although unfortunately they won't give it to him cause Nash and Nowitzki's team have a way better record and are championship contenders. He has carried the Lakers all year. I wouldn't mind Kobe as the MVP.

we've an identical sentiment dude. i think of Kobe may be the MVP this year. For the previous 3 years, he could've been the MVP. yet there argument is that best participant on the best team. Now Kobe is the best participant not purely on the team yet on the full planet with the best record interior the NBA. i won't be able to see him being 2nd to LeBron interior the MVP poll. i think of the reporters only would not choose Kobe to be the MVP. they're going to say that LeBron, if he may well be the MVP, is the main constructive on his team that he includes them to the playoffs, yet did not Kobe did that for the previous 2 years already? Is it Kobe's fault that GM Mitch Kupchak introduced him one hell of a participant in Pau Gasol in that astonishing deal that shook the NBA panorama? Is it Kobe's fault that those reporters/analysts/media panel vote casting would not vote him to be the MVP because of the fact he have been given into that rape scandal that tarnished his photograph interior the media? Come on! Kobe is the MVP interior the human beings's eye, coronary heart, he's the human beings's MVP. there is not any doubt, it is have been given to be Kobe "Black Mamba" Bryant.

I think that he is deserving of being mentioned for consideration and even quite possibly winning the award. I mean let's face it he's been a monster this season with nine games of 50+ points. But I doubt that he will win the award. Somebody like Steve Nash or Tim Duncan or somebody else most likely will take the award.

after that performance against the clippers? where even though kobe scored 50 his team lost and blew a 17 pt lead at home? that is not MVP stuff, he scored a lot and his team still lost. when kobe had all those 50 pt games they were all against bad teams so it was an aberration. and he went scoreless the last 8 minuets of the 4th when his team needed him most, where was he? too tired? thats why kobe wont win MVP

Kobe is the best player alive maybe ever but Dirk deserves to win it and he deserve to win it last year
If Nash wins it again what a shame. But Kobe will be considered every year he plays until he retires.

yeah, kobe's really turned it on the last month and he definitely deserves consideration. but steve nash and nowitzki are on better teams and i think ultimately that people are gonna vote for them if they win the finals. but i think that bryant does have a shot cuz he's such a clutch player.
