Just keep book on the nucleus. Atomic # of Pu = 94, so there are 145 neutrons. Add 1 to get 146, lose 3 to get 143. Find the At # of cerium, subtract that from 146 to find the number of neutrons in the cerium nucleus formed. The other nucleus has an atomic number of 94- atomic number of cerium, and a mass of the other nucleus' atomic number + the number of left-over neutrons.
