A guy I work with just used a new one on me: "What's the word, hummingbird?". I thought it was kind of cute but kind of lame at the same time. Also, when I was working as a receptionist at a doctor's office I asked someone how he was doing he said "fine and dandy like peppermint candy!". Me and my co-worker loved it and said it the rest of the day!

How do you usually say "hello"?

I have heard people say that they will not be held accountable for tax fraud, if it is their accountant who is filing the fraudulent claim, ( and signing his own name as tax preparer) is this really true?

that when someone asked for a book that would be a good introduction to each person's religion, I get so many thumbs down with my answer? I simply said "Our Troth" by Kveldulf Gundarsson. Hardly anything to get snarly about, is it? Or do that many people disagree with my choice of books? Which book do they recommend as a good primer on Asatru? Please don't tell me it is simply my choice of religion! That is a personal choice. Surely all those loving Kristjans out there can appreciate that, right? Honestly, I don't understand the thought processes involved here...

Let me be honest here. I don't listen to Don Imus or his ilk.

But, I wasn't even aware Al Sharpton had a show of his own. He's eating up the free publicity.

Just what America needs now. Two racists with all eyes on them.

I have a G4 power mac with Tiger on it. When I boot it up I get an icon that has a globe and flashes, after a few minutes it flashes an icon back an forth with a file and the finder face. I was told that there is an error with a startup file. How do I fix this? Do I have to do a fresh install of Tiger or is there another way?

In 2000, Team Bush took over the Republican Party and laid out its promises to the American people. The following pledges and claims are taken directly from the 2000 GOP Platform. Should we laugh or cry at promises made by an administration that has ruled through deception, endless war, politicization of intelligence and the Justice Dept., outing CIA officers, and the like? SHARE THIS WITH FRIENDS.

Honest Government
“Trust, pride, and respect: we pledge to restore these qualities to the way Americans view their government.”

Keeping Intelligence Free of Politics
"Nor should the intelligence community be made the scapegoat for political misjudgments. A Republican administration working with the Congress will respect the needs and quiet sacrifices of these public servants as it strengthens America's intelligence and counter-intelligence capabilities…”

Diplomacy and Maintaining Allies
“The arrogance, inconsistency, and unreliability of the [Clinton] administration's diplomacy have undermined American alliances, alienated friends, and emboldened our adversaries."

Endless Military Missions, Exit Strategies and Troop Readiness
"The current administration has casually sent American armed forces on dozens of missions without clear goals, realizable objectives, favorable rules of engagement, or defined exit strategies.” [Emphasis added.]

"Sending our military on vague, aimless, and endless missions rapidly saps morale. Even the highest morale is eventually undermined by back-to-back deployments, poor pay, shortages of spare parts and equipment, inadequate training, and rapidly declining readiness. When it comes to military health, the administration is not providing an adequate military health care system…"

Restoring the Rule of Law and the Justice Department
The rule of law, the very foundation for a free society, has been under assault, not only by criminals from the ground up, but also from the top down. An administration that lives by evasion, coverup, stonewalling, and duplicity has given us a totally discredited Department of Justice. The credibility of those who now manage the nation’s top law enforcement agency is tragically eroded. We are fortunate to have its dedicated career workforce, especially its criminal prosecutors, who have faced the unprecedented politicization of decisions regarding both personnel and investigations.”

Gas Prices (then $1.55 per gallon)

“Today, gas prices have skyrocketed, and oil imports are at all-time highs....By any reasonable standard, the Department of Energy has utterly failed in its mission to safeguard America’s energy security. “

Hes bought a house and a new car... All of this while he was AWOL... And now that hes gotten the help he has saved up money for his family while hes gone he wants to know what happens now with the AWOL and why they havent hunted him down or arrested him when he was pulled over or bought a house????

Just wondering. Me and my hubby have been TTC for two years (tomorrow) and are considering other options. We are extremely financially stable and have a home big enough for children. I am 20 (about to be 21) and he is 23 (about to be 24). Thanks in advance!

“There are people who say there is no God,” he told a friend. “But what makes me really angry is that they quote me for support of such views.” And unlike Sigmund Freud or Bertrand Russell or George Bernard Shaw, Einstein never felt the urge to denigrate those who believed in God; instead, he tended to denigrate atheists. “What separates me from most so-called atheists is a feeling of utter humility toward the unattainable secrets of the harmony of the cosmos,” he explained.

In fact, Einstein tended to be more critical of debunkers, who seemed to lack humility or a sense of awe, than of the faithful. “The fanatical atheists,” he wrote in a letter, “are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who — in their grudge against traditional religion as the ‘opium of the masses’ — cannot hear the music of the spheres.”
