When I came around to the side of the car I saw a little girl approx. 2 years old strapped into her car seat screaming her little lungs out. As I stepped in to say something the mother went postal on me. Now I don't know if I made matters better or worse for that little girl. At least it got her to stop hitting her child but I'm not sure if anything I said even made a difference. How would you have handled this situation?

I have been looking at a lot of diagrams of wind turbine blades. Wind turbine blades use both lift and drag to cause rotation. The diagrams show cross sections of blades and arrows to indicate wind direction. The blades in the diagram have a 'teardrop' cross section.

Whenever I have read about the aerofoil effect, aeroplanes wings are used to instantiate it. Aeroplane wings have a cross sectional shape that makes the air above them travel faster than the air below them. They are like an asymmetrical teardrop shape with one side more rounded than the other. According to bernouli's theorem, this should and does produce a lift effect.

Whenever I look at diagrams of the cross section of wind turbine blades, they don't appear to have this asymmetry. They do, however, appear to be pitched in relation to the airflow.

Can anyone explain to me how the aerofoil effect is produced in this instance?

I have read some similiar questions that dealt with women's oily skin, but as a guy, I am not going to wear foundation. I used to have severe acne as a teenager, but now that I'm older, the acne has dropped considerably to more of a mild form. However, my skin is grossly oily and I have not been able to find something that controls it all day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been contemplating the Proactiv solution, but if something exists cheaper and just as effective, I would much rather go that route. Thanks in advance for all the help!

Okay. I'm going to my senior prom with this guy that i've liked for a really long time. The problem is that his ex-girlfriend is trying to come to our prom too in the SAME color dress although she's not his date. im a girl. 15. im about 5'1 and i weight 104. i need to lose stomach fatt and lovehandles in 3 weeks. im not saying i want it all toned because i know thats impossible in 3 weeks but how can i make my tummy a lil flatter and get rid of sum lovehandles? im a vegetarian and i dont eat alot of fat food.
