My daughter wants to have an "International Speak Like a Pirate Day" party the weekend before Sept 19.
Is it wrong to celebrate ISLAPD if we aren't Pastafarians?

I am sorry to offend - TALK like a pirate, not SPEAK like a pirate.

Everyone who wishes can join when we have our party! I hope to see pirates a plenty at the party!

Hooya, we often speak like pirates round here just for the heck of it. Even the noodly one ain't gonna tell ME when to say ARRR.

What? I admit I am not sure what it means to be a pastafarian, but it sounds like you want to have pirate day. Go the heck ahead and have pirate day. Geez, is this what this country has come down to? Where we feel so much like we are walking on eggs that we feel we need to check with someone before having pirate day? We are truly the United States of the Offended.
Ya know what? The heck with someone who has a problem with people dressing up like a pirate and having fun. Seems pretty
harmless to me.

Not at all. Perhaps she will find herself touched by His noodley appendage.

By the way, it's "Talk Like a Pirate Day", not "speak". I know, that's a detail, but Pastafarians take it seriously.

Celebrate away - one of the fun things about being an atheist is I get to celebrate all the religions holidays

Pastafarians? What's that?? Don't know this word, and I have a rather extensive vocabulary. But would it be wrong? No, why should it be?

No.
It wasn't started by Pastafarians, they just celebrate it for fun.
Australians started it silly.

There's never a bad reason for a party. Have a blast.

Look who just opened up their Thesaurus and learned a big word. Congratulate yourself but it's a little overboard to celebrate.
