Is that a kind of competition or something? I´m reading all the time the importance they give to it and some of them measure theirs every day....................

because they don't know what else to do with their ruler
because they feel the need to know
because they like to feel it and measuring is a good a reason as any
because their mommies told them not to touch it
because their teachers told them to practice measuring with a ruler. (and didn;t specify that they didn;t mean practice on a penis - hehe)
but who really knows or cares anyway. Most guys measure and most gals know their breast size so big deal.

Men are very insecure about the size of their penises. For some reason, it seems that guys think that the bigger the penis, the bigger the man. Maybe someday, they will realize that this is not the case.
Before I go any further, I should mention that I'm female...
There are a million questions on here dealing with guys questioning their size. They wonder if they're too small. They ask what's average, what's too small, what's too big.
When I see some guy saying that his penis has a 6 inch girth, I want to laugh. NO human penis is 6 inches wide. Sorry guys...you are not measuring correctly. You don't measure AROUND, you measure ACROSS. Draw a circle. measure it from one side to the other. THAT is how wide the circle is. Apply that same technique to your penis.
I hope someday that men realize that it's not size that makes the lover. It's technique. It takes time and patience and practice to learn to make love. Guys who go on size alone are NOT guys I would ever want to be with. I would much rather be with someone who is willing to learn, regardless of size.
As for teenagers, I can see where they would be insecure. As for adults, they should know better.
As for all men...you have what you have. Learn how to use it for maximum benefit to you AND your partner. That's what a real man does.

hahahaha don't girls measure their vaginas that was waaay to cute...hahahaha.
we are all self concious men and women. we need to feel reassured that we are ok...and some want to feel like they are better...
no women can't measure their vaginas silly boy but we do spend time wondering if our labia are too big or too small stuff like that.

but really men should spend more time worrying about their preformance in bed rather than their size....only the first 2 inches of a vagina are sensitive...
my best friend last year was with this awesome dude - who just happens to have a huge penis and no idea how to use it....

We measure it because we're insecure and seek validation especially from women that we measure up (pardon the pun).
We never grow up either, look how many societies use/used phallic symbols too. Some guy is always trying to build the tallest building as a symbol of show/power. Its just like they're saying, "look my penis is longer" lol.

I understand measuring it every once in a while, just to know where you're at, but once every day? Come on! Also at a certain point in your life, it is pointless to keep on measuring, because your penis is done growing.

Men are fascinated by their penis because they want to gain some kind of masculinity. if your penis is average size then guys like to see if it will get longer and thicker. If a man feels his penis is too small then he feels less confident. men worry about their penis the way women worry about breasts or their weight.

Yes competion! Dates back to early man and having to be the Alpha male. OR They feel inadequate and need to check it and see if its grown any. OR They're just tryin to check out other guys.

Because we want to know how long it is. Women like to know what to expect. Women like to hear a man has 9 inches. They might be scared to hear he has 13 but you want to know. Admit it.
