How far would you be prepared travel to have a serious relationship? Can the distance only work for a limited time? Does it ever work? Is there a difference if you live apart when you first start dating or if you are forced apart (through work - e.g. army, relocation etc)? Have you ever been dumped or dumped someone because the distance was too much? And if you wanted to make it work long-term, would you expect them to move to you, or would you move to them?

My grandfather comes from a rural part of Lancashire and still speaks with a traditionally rhotic accent.
But I have never been to Lancashire and have only heard a few other Lancashirites speak, and they all seem to to have non-rhotic accents.
So the question is, are there two types of Lancashire accents spoken in different parts? Or is the rhotic accent of Lancashire now extinct, replaced by a non-rhotic one?

When Jesus was on the Cross he told the theif next to him that they would walk together in paradise that day.
However after his death we are told Jesus did not ascend to heaven for 40 more days, in fact was "dead" for three days.
So what do we make of this? Was Jesus not fully informed?
How could he get this so wrong if he is part of the Trinity?
If you are going to answer that this "paradise" was somewhere other than heaven why is the existance of this important place not mentioned elsewhere?

Specifically it looks as if Jesus was mistaken and was not fully informed. (IMHO an easy human mistake to make). How does this sit with him being the same as God?

Who agrees with me that Fred Thompson and Trent Lott would be the Presidential team that could bring the U.S. back to the type of government we need to move ahead once more as we did with President Reagan ? I believe these two men are the most competent and able to pull it off!!

Does it bother you that Hollywood churns out the same old crap over and over again just to make a buck? Sure there are some examples of excellence in every genre but it seems like the truly moving stories are few and far between. I guess I wouldn't care but the theaters where I live are so overrun by the cookie cutter stuff I have to wait for rental for a lot of the films I'm really interested in seeing. What are your thoughts? Do you think "Are we there yet?" really needed a sequel? Are you going to see the Will Ferrell ice skating movie on opening night? Not trying to be a snob but it's frustrating to me. I realize it's the movie "business" but I think the pursuit of wealth has damaged the art form.
