Fred Thompson and Trent Lott if sincere to serve the government can put the US on the right track. They must not serve the interests of any group or their party but must work for the people.

Fred Thompson may be an attractive, moderate candidate, but Trent Lott would be as or more divisive than GW Bush. He's an ultraconservative, who put his foot in his mouth with a racist comment last year. He quit his Senate Majority post because of it. Just because a person can speak eloquently doesn't mean he could be a good, moral leader. What about Hitler?

It seems the dems are afraid of Fred, not sure why, which is a good reason to support him. They are also tentative about Rudy, but I think the clitoon smear machine is preparing to lay waste to poor old rudy.
Trent would just be cannon fodder.
Never make the mistake of nominating someone who is a good conservative or whatever you want them to be, nominate someone who will win. That will be the dems major failing this time, hitlery will get the nomination and lose the election, simple as that, obama has a better chance than hitlery but it ain't gonna happen.

How about Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich? I think that would be an awesome pair. They could definitely put this country back on the right track.

I disagree with you. I think at this time we need a change from
the Republican administration. President Bush and vice Dick Chaney presently demonstrate what America looks like under
republican representatives.

Rudy Guilliani/Jeb Bush. Jeb did wonders for Florida, And Rudy did wonders for New York City! Both are pretty much middle of the road and I believe would be great leaders.
I like your choices also. But not as much as my picks! :)
OH RICH A forgets to mention his boy Robert Byrd's racial slur! ok guy nothing partisan here!
