I just did, and I've had a revelation!
Before reading this book, I was convinced that all the apologetic argument I'd read in the past - including on R&S - was just a load of biased, self-serving tripe (for what it's worth, no offence meant to those present.)
But that stuff was nothing compared to Mr Strobel's compelling arguments...I was hoping for something challenging and substantial, and instead I got nothing but logically-challenged, unsubstantiated, one-sided testimony from an endless parade of "objective" Christian scholars.
Honestly, I was hoping to learn something, instead I just had it reinforced that there is no such thing as academic theology.
Please, somebody, tell me there is a book out there somewhere that does actually discuss this stuff objectively. Really, does anyone know of a "scholarly" work which isn't just another excuse to tell me I'm going to hell if I don't see the light?
