I try not to listen to much of the pop country if I can help so I can't help much. The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's most known I think for their cover of Mr Bojangles. They also put their own spin on a lot of older bluegrass and gospel songs. They also sing Modern Day Romance, Baby's got a hold on me, and Fire in the Sky

Danielle Peck is a totally awesome new country singer, I think she's the best one to come along in many years. You've probably heard "Findin' a Good Man," "Isn't That Everything" (climbing the charts right now), and perhaps "I Don't" (her first single which came out before the CD last year). But my favorite songs by her are "Somebody for You," "Fallin' Apart," and "Only the Lonely Talkin'". You said you're excited about seeing Terri Clark. If you like Terri Clark that much, you would most likely feel the same way about Danielle Peck. I suggest getting the CD, and listening to it all the way through. There is not a single throwaway song on it.

NGDB: "Fishing in the Dark", and "Baby's got a Hold on You". Asleep at the Wheel: "House of Blue Lights", "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens", "Boogie Back to Texas", "Hot Rod Lincoln", "Cherokee Boogie", and "Big Foot Stomp".

Danielle Peck, Blue County and Katrina Elam are all new artists. Check out http://launch.yahoo.com and look them up. I haven't heard of Bomshel or The Grascals before.
