From my shoulder to right above my elbow. I'm thinking of a wildflower theme with a tribal feel.

Do you think the sleeve is going overboard? Or, do you think it would be cool. This scar has made me quite self-conscious over the years. Mind you, i'm a rocker type of chick and I already have two other tattoos, but they aren't visible unless I have my back out.

What do you think?

Both my other tats are tribal. I have a dragon on my left shoulderblade and tribal below my belly button.

OK, here is me from experience. I had a number of tattoos that were for the most part hidden, and I had some nasty keloid scars on my upper arm. I finally made the decision to take the plunge and have them tattooed over, and I must say, it was the best decision I have made in my whole life. My whole way of looking at it is that the tattoo turned something that I viewed as ugly into something that I am proud to show off. I no longer want to wear long shirts because I do not want people asking about my scars, instead I wear sleeveless shirts, and I WANT people to talk about my beautiful art work!! That tattoo has given me a new sense of freedom, kinda like I was released from the shackles of self-awareness and embarrassment. I do not think it is going overboard at all, in fact I say "Congratulations!! Go for it!!!"

I never think sleeves are overboard and if I had thin arms, I would be sleeved. Only you can decide if that is right for you or not.

My concern is you are "thinking" about a wildflower theme? I would have expected you to have already had this discussion with a highly reputable artist who would already have the artwork prepared for a sleeve if your tattoo appt. is Saturday;
especially if there is a sizable scar involve.

Sounds sexy enough. Hard to say, because tats are so permanent, that it could either be a really good thing or a really bad thing.
I only have one tatoo, and it is something that means something to ME, which is why I'm asked what the hell it is. It's simply my initials in a design that I made up as a kid. So that would be my only advise on the question.....just make sure the tat is something that's meaningful to you, and not some clicky looking or sounding phrase, like "No Fear" or some other trendy garbage. It will be on your skin until you are an old and wrinkly woman, so be careful, the others at the retirement home might make fun of you.

I had a scar from my childhood. When I joined the Navy I decided to get a tattoo ( it had nothing to do with a female , if you believe that I have a bridge in brooklynd I want to sell lol) I DID NOT have a risen scar. My advise to you is to ask MANY local artists. If you think this scar will remain that is if this is a recent scar . Then you should wait . If this is an old scar ( more than four years then you should ask the artist if it will affect the appearance of the tatoo).

I think it's a great Idea to cover the scar, however the wildflower tribal thing doesn't get it, for me anyways. I got some tribal done and wish i hadn't. it was kinda a fad thing for a while there. I know alot of people that are still getting it but the general concensus i am getting from the artists I talk to is that Tribal is out and they are sick of doing it.

Just so you know!

Whatever floats your boat, Since you have already gotten to other tattos this shouldn't be hard for you. It with have an intresting look and would the wildflower/tribe go good with your other tattos, or do you not care.

If you are into that kind of stuff, I don't see why you should hold your self back. I like the wild flower theme. Make sure it only goes to your wrist though so you can cover it for the business world.

Go for it. It doesn't really matter what other people think. If you are really happy with the result, no one can take that away from you. Rock on girl, rock on.

i really like sleeves on girl, i think they are super pretty. you should do something feminine and pretty since you have other tribal ones, just so you can do something different. good luck and make sure you put some pics up so we can see it!
