I think that if it were a law that a couple had to attend marriage classes before getting married and the same with divorce that we may help our sky high high divorce rate. Of course in the case of domestic violence it would be differenent.

He lied to me about paying rent when he didn't and I'm writing him a letter (because he works 2nd shift I work 1st and we usually communicate through letters during the week) telling him that I want to hold off on the engagement until he grows up enough to be honest with me and not lie to me. We have seen legal cases in America where "God commands" was used as a (unsuccessful) defense.

I think this is a fascinating topic, the overlap of religion, politics, law, morality.

This is a sort of Socrates question, is something holy because the gods says its so, or is it the gods that determine what is holy?

I have an old gas well that was located in a wooded area. The gas well company plant grass all around this area that is very thick. Nothing else grows there, and it has never been cut and it is only 6 inches thick. I tried to cut it with a 90 hp, tractor with a 60 inch brush hog and it bogs down so bad that I don't even try to cut it. It doesn't really need cut, b/c nothing else will even grow there. What kind of grass is this?

can a cold linger for more than 2 months? i keep getting that tickle in my throat with a burning in the back of my throat i thought it was my acid reflux now im not sure i went to my doctor and he gave me pills for the acid but it is not going away he is a good doctor and said my throat looked ok should i be worried?
