I have an old gas well that was located in a wooded area. The gas well company plant grass all around this area that is very thick. Nothing else grows there, and it has never been cut and it is only 6 inches thick. I tried to cut it with a 90 hp, tractor with a 60 inch brush hog and it bogs down so bad that I don't even try to cut it. It doesn't really need cut, b/c nothing else will even grow there. What kind of grass is this?

Stake out a couple of goats on the grass and see what they do for it.

The gas/oil companies in my area (west Texas, eastern New Mexico) use love grass, a tough, thick grass that grows in big clumps.
