because the north west development agency, the people who put in the bids, numpties that they are, even think it should have gone to blackpool - so i've no idea why they were competing against themselves with manchester. blackpool really really needs the casino in order to become a resort again. manchester already has loads of great stuff going for it. blackpool is a dump and this is its last hope.

It can't.
The casino will be built near to the Manchester Stadium.
If it is a success, the Government will think about giving a licence to 8 more 'super-casinos'.
They will be in Glasgow, Blackpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, London and Dover.

because in all honesty... blackpool is sh*tty as it is... let them have the casino... dont let Britains 4th city get dragged down...
