My husband had a credit card account (in his name only) with Providian that got bought out by Washington Mutual. We have had some financial difficulties over the past year or so and the account has gone into collection. My mother-in-law (who lives in a different state) has told us that she is getting calls for my husband. He hasn't lived there for 10+ years. They are also sending bills to her house. Are they allowed to do this? ALSO...we have 2 companies trying to collect the same debt...one company is representing Providian and the other Washington Mutual. We're not sure how to handle this and we're sure as heck not going to pay 2 companies for 1 debt. Please help! Hope this isn't too confusing. Thanks in advance.

I'm 21 years old male and I live in NJ.
I'm thinking about buying a used car and financing it.
I was looking at GEICO website and the quote came out to about $1600/year for 2000 honda S2000.
I was wondering if that amount is right.
I selected collision and comprehensive coverage along with all the other coverage options.
I thought full coverage would be much more expensive like $3000 but that is so low.
So I was wondering if that amount is right.

(I live in NJ with my uncle and my parents live in massachusetts)

My daughter is a VERY happy baby, she smiles and laughs all day long and settles quite well for her nighttime sleep, however some nights I hear her cry out in her sleep, when I go check on her she is fast asleep. It usually only happens once or twice and thats it... Should I be concerned?!?

When I was in Czech, I have this TASTY meal which I believe is chicken breast with garlicy flavor with some cheese sprinkled on top.

I'm tempt to try chops some garlic cloves up and put it in pan with hot oil or melt butter and cook chicken in it. If I do this, will the chicken have garlicy taste or not? If not, how do I get garlicy taste on the chicken breast? I have garlic cloves.

even though the thought of the creation of the universe frustrates me, i still think deeply about it. Whenever a scientist says that earth was made from floating debri and space dust, a religious person would say, and where does that come from? The religious person would then say god had to create it, something had to, at least. Anyways, that would be how my brother and father once argued before. But i was just wondering that the fact that god can be everliving, and not be created by anything, why cant the universe be like that? Also, just because there is a god, why must there be a heaven and hell. People usually try to prove there is heaven by if the universe was made by an all powerful entity, but why would it make a "heaven"? Im not trying to discredit anyone's religion, so dont reply agrily, that would be really unfair
