because of the supply of oil. iraq is very rich with the supply of oil. many developed countries try this iraq to buy their supply of oil, but they still dont. so their is always a war between iraq and other countries, especially the USA.
that's it my friend!

it is an important issue because a lot of american lives have been lost and are getting lost as we speak, the war has lowered our standard for the rest of the world to see and to those that ask why should we care about the rest of the world you need but look at how much money we owe china, and the arabs as well as the japanese and any one could understand what would happen if all of a sudden they wanted to be paid, plus we have now got ourselves in a position that says if we do not succeed in Iraq then we risk bringing the terrorist over here that would mean that we would have to secure our borders and we all know that the administration does not want to do that

So many different reasons: loss of thousands of soldiers' and Iraq lives (many of which are innocent civilians) is the most important; economically as we are spending billions although since we don't actually have the money we are borrowing from China which will have to be repaid probably eventually by our children & maybe grandchildren.
It affects our security since now we don't have enough extra soldiers & money to defend ourselves against another country's serious threats as well as we could if we were not already at war with another country. If another country wanted to wage war against us, like North Korea or Iran, we do not have the soldiers and we definitely don't have the money to do so.
It also has affected our credibility and trust in our govt. to believe them if they tell us there is another threat to our safety and security from another country. It will be harder to believe them now if they say we are in imminent danger again, people will be way more skeptical, and has hurt our credibility among other countries as well.

Its an issue for our country because we're failing, and it's an illegal war, among other issues.
It's a personal issue because my husband is on his second tour of duty and had an IED blow up his vehicle yesterday.
