He was mentally abusive with constant put-downs, manipulation, and a demeaning attitude towards me. Had trouble holding down a job. He was a religious fanatic and tried to force his beliefs on me. And for a while in the beginning of our marriage he went back on drugs (had been clean for the first three years of our relationship). That totally ruined my trust, and if there's no trust then what's the point.

But it's easy to point a finger at the other person. I know I have issues too, particularly insecurity. Was constantly accusing him of cheating when deep down I knew he wasn't.

Divorce sucks.

because he hid things like money, etc from me. Never spent any time with me alone or the kids. after he worked all day he felt like he should not have to help me cause i stayed home with 4 kids at the time were 1,4,9,12. I just was lonely and misery finally took it toll on me and i wanted it all over.

because she would not give me any loving. and when I got angry about it, we said some bad things and it went downhill from there. I went into a therapy program and she called me and said she was moving out and she would be done moving out before I got released from the therapy clinic.good bye and good riddance.

Didn't. Had occasion to think about it, but eas able to work it out. I think these things, if resolved, can actually strengthen a relationship..
