Sometimes people think too much, with their heads anyway, It is hard to believe in things you have never seen. That is where faith comes in. For it is by faith that we are saved and not by works. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior things to become more clearer things just make more since then they did before. I have been on both sides. I was in the world and lived by the world standards and I now live for Christ and by His standards.
There are a lot of things that we will not know while we are on earth. God gave us all the things that we needed to know. He didn't mean for us to know everything, somethings are too complicated for our minds to know.

Perhaps you are confusing things.. The kingdom of God is where you want to be and I am pretty sure that if you get there, it will be heavenly.. Here is the bottom line. Regardless of what scientist say, they cannot not explain the formation of the universe or its real size. Some of them claim the universe was created by a big bang.. at some point in time, something exploded.. My question for them is this.. what pray tell, exploded and where did it come from? I realize it is hard for people, especially young people, to comprehend what this universe is all about.. when I was young, I tried to comprehend what this massive place is, but couldn't find any better answers than you have.. So, where does that leave us?.. It leaves us exactly where we are..and that is we are faced with the requirement of believing in an unseen all powerful spirit that we call God.. The word of God is archived in historical documents of the dead sea scrolls... I will remind you that much of what has been written about in the bible has actually been proven to have happened. The bible itself was not written as a book, but rather it is a compilation of the many different books from the scrolls.. the scrolls were written by a variety of men who for the most part, did not know each other. They, like you and me, wondered about the universe. Most of them lived at different times and in different countries.. they each wrote what they learned from another source. That source, according to the bible was God. In those times, God made direct contact with mankind and as with Moses, directed them to a course of life. They each lived and believed. What they passed on to us is the knowledge of a higher authority. Though it is okay to question the subject and be curious, I think you will learn that you will never figure it out. Instead of trying to solve the mistery of the universe, just relax and enjoy it.. for all the time you have on earth, it is yours to enjoy and it will be much more joyfull if you live in the world with the faith that when your time ends your questions will be answered. You have a long way to go..I hope that, on your journey, you learn to have faith that there is a better place than you see today. All you need is to develop the faith according to Gods words.. search for and find the truth in Gods word.. it is true and you can count on it.. let him handle the tough stuff..and in due time, all your questions will be answered.. just make sure that you make yourself good enough to get through the gate..

The first question is "Did the universe have a beginning?" If you say no then you must contemplate the universe as infinitely old. Does scientific evidence support this?
If you say Yes, then you must contemplate that beginning. By what mechanism did the universe come into being. It could not create itself since it, meaning space, time matter and energy, did not exist. Neither did the laws of nature. Those things we take for granted. The logic which brings order instead of chaos. According to scientists, the universe came into being in a relatively short period of time, from a single point. From this singularity emerged all matter, energy, time and space. Our universe expanded rapidly, much faster than is normally possible because space-time itself was expanding. Many years ago a man described this when he stated "Before the Universe was made, there was no time and no space." He was not a scientist. He used logic to argue his points in the Church. In any event, I propose to you that it is not logical that the universe existed infinitely into the past. It is logical that it had a beginning. It is not logical that it could bring itself into being. It is logical that it was brought into being by something other than itself. What then, could possibly bring this universe into being?

well babsa everybody is looking for the easy way out .I am sorry but there is none. Do yourself a big ,big favor Get on the satellite and find a way old country boy to teach you gods word. It is the only way to make a informed decision. Don't let them woo you into the no effort way of doing things . Once you start to see what has happened and why and see what is happening and why , and see what will happen and why you will see the real concern i have for you. Dan x complained the Christians would rear their ugly heads but i notice he was here first. For you see , where ever the body lies so there too will the vultures be.

Do get some scientific background on creation by God, please check out the following websites.
www.thecreationnetwork.org
www.answersingenesis.com or org.
www.creationontheweb.com
They will not only give you information and other sites to research but also give you the names and the scientific credentials of the contributors. (All of which are scientists who have come to realize that creation was not a random event but an act of God)
They include: PHD's in physics, medicine, geology, astronomy, earth sciences, marine science, hydogeology, plant physiology, physical chemistry, chemistry, paleontology and zoology. All well respected and published and many who are still working in research at major universities. Not a slouch in the group.
These are only a few of the many scientists who are now showing evidence for creation.

You're right about the universe. The only logical conclusion we can reach about it is that it goes on forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever . . . and by definition includes everything. There exists nothing outside the universe because there is no outside.
It has no edges in any direction. It is infinite spatially and temporally. No beginning and no end, either physically or in time.
Given these observations, it becomes illogical at best to try to explain its existence is the result of a creation.
It just always was and always will be.

I like the direction in which you are travelling.
God is a fabrication.
Try www.godisimaginary.com and read it in full with an open and intelligent mind. There are other similar sites that PROVE that prayers are not answered and that the bible is ridiculous and that the god is fictitious.
I have been a strong atheist for over 53 years and it is, to my mind, plainly ridiculous that adult humans are still clinging to archaic stories of such a childish nature that logic, reason and common sense just have to be set aside in order to accept them as anywhere near reality.
All religion is dangerous. Islam is THE most dangerous. All religion is a disease on the face of humanity. There IS a cure. Intelligence.

In Genesis God made the heavens in the Earth. It is far More fetched to believe that dust on its own came together and the human eye was eventually created millions of years later. Even Darwin suggest that intelligent design is more probable when he came analyzing the eye. God was bored and wanted to make us in his likeness. He gave us free will and wanted to see if we would accept him of chaos. Even given a nature pron to chaos we still call out to Him. This pleases God. When God cast Satan out of heaven I wonder if they had a wager on the outcome. Hope this helps you decide.

You make an interesting point. As for the Universe. If it could "happen" we should be able to dupicate the process, as yet this has yet to occur.
As for Heaven and Hell. Christians and Jews alike trust scriptures and they not only "infere" of such places they say it out right.
