I am conflicted about whether or not to take a new job in another state. I am single but I have a daughter that I adopted from a previous marriage. I love my daughter and am commited to raising her. Is it possible to have a healthy, close relationship with my daughter if I only have her with me during her summer vacations. Note; she would stay with her mom during the school year. Her mom is a wonderful parent and does support my possible move.

Adia's Wager?

I came up with this wager to all theists, tell me what you think when I'm done.

In all religion, God advocates us to love and respect each other.

Though I've seen a lot of people hurting others emotionally, physically or anything else that would trouble people, all in the name of God or claim it to be God's will, or the truth.

So here's my wager, instead of fighting for God, why not spread love and respect instead?

If you're fighting for God, how do you know that really is God's will? What if you got it wrong? What if your actions would displeases God?

If you spread love and respect, live in harmony and tolerance, God would love that. You have nothing to lose, don't you think?

So why not accept this wager of mine?

Why are some christians so stupid that they put up ridiculously long cut & paste answers?

Do they think it makes them look clever?

Do they think their trashy cut & paste from some silly "christian science magazine" cuts it against vast libabries of proof of evolution accepted by the overwhelming bulk of the global scientific community?

sleeping issues in 5 week old?

my 5 week old son will wake up on own to eat and in early morning like before sunrise we will have a hard time going back to sleep after eating and usally does not untill three hours later when he is hungry again and has ate and durning those three hours he cries and cries and nothing seems to help. we are giving him 4oz at this time at 5 weeks and 9lbs 4 oz (last doctors apt) is this enough or does he need more.

a joke.....................?

A couple went on vacation to a resort up north. The husband liked to fish, and the wife liked to read. One morning the husband came back from fishing after getting up really early that morning and took a nap. While he slept, the wife decided to take the boat out.
She was not familiar with the lake, so she rowed out and anchored the boat, and started reading her book. Along comes the Game Warden in his boat, pulls up alongside the woman's boat and asks her what she's doing?
She says, "Reading my book." The Game Warden tells her she is in a restricted fishing area and she explains that she's not fishing. To which he replied, "But you have all this equipment. I will have to take you in and write you up!"
Angry that the warden was being so unreasonable, the lady told the warden, "If you do that, I will charge you with rape."
The warden, shocked by her statement, replied, "But I didn't even touch you."
To which the lady replied, "Yeah, but you have all the equipment!"

Can you fly while being on antibiotics?

I have strep throat and have been prescribed penicillen (sp) However I go on holiday Saturday. Would it be ok for me to fly? does it make any difference. I dont drink alcohol and being on a plane has never bothered me before :)
