Hi,
Do you do a lot of swimming ? Especially sub-aqua.
That got my ears crackling after a while.
However, a warm water squirt from the nurse at the local surgery revealed a fair amount of ear-wax.
Pop! it went, and all is well.

Hiya,
This could be a type of dermatitus that affects the ear canal, see your gp or try a small smear of e45 cream on the outer part of your ear and i little dab on your finger into your ear canal, dont use cotton buds though...hope this is of some help..xx..
