Malaysian airlines (small A) would be the grammatically correct form if you wanted to describe airlines that were Malaysian.

However, as it's a proper name, Malaysia Airlines is fine.

Malaysian is the kind of airline not the name. The name is "Malaysia Airlines". A name can be whatever you chose.

YOu've got a point! It's should be Malaysian Airlines, just like Philippine Airline (since Philippine is an adjective) Korean Air, American Airlines, British Airways etc.

Malaysia Airlines is the name given to the airline- and as such being a proper noun, it could be any name - it could have been Penang Airlines, Air Malaysia or XYZ, or any name you choose. So as it stands it sounds great and is a name that was chosen to appeal to its customers.

Malaysia Airlines or Malaysian Airlines ... doesn't matter to me. All I know is when we touched down in Penang, the plane touched down twice, it technically bounced back. It was one of the most horrifying experience I ever had flying.

There are too may technically correct answers to this question. For example, according to your logic, why isn't "Singapore Airlines" Singaporean, or "US Airways" Airways of the USA or USA's Airways? Also, ask yourself if your question would still be correct if Malaysia were simply a word rather than the name of a country. For example, would you raise the same objection if the name were "Golda Airways" or "Silvera Airways"?
