I came up with this wager to all theists, tell me what you think when I'm done.

In all religion, God advocates us to love and respect each other.

Though I've seen a lot of people hurting others emotionally, physically or anything else that would trouble people, all in the name of God or claim it to be God's will, or the truth.

So here's my wager, instead of fighting for God, why not spread love and respect instead?

If you're fighting for God, how do you know that really is God's will? What if you got it wrong? What if your actions would displeases God?

If you spread love and respect, live in harmony and tolerance, God would love that. You have nothing to lose, don't you think?

So why not accept this wager of mine?

You ask me to live in love and tolerance, and that God would love that. Which God are you talking about? The God of your creation, or the God clearly spoken about in His word? That God says quite clearly that we are to have no other Gods but Him, that if we fail to come humbly before Him robed in nothing but the merits of His only Son, He will damn us for all eternity. This God is a God of love, providing a way for us to escape His wrath. But if we fail to attempt to persuade others of their impending doom, how is that love? If my son needs strong medicine to make him well, do I show love and tolerance by not putting him through the turmoil of taking the medicine? Here is my wager. Read the Book of Romans, or at least chapters 1-8, and see if your God matches the one found within these chapters.

I like your wager Aida. I can even take it as an atheist, without compromising myself. You make excellent sense.
