I am trying to help a friend with her fax machine. She has DSL and there is a DSL filter plugged into the phone jack with one of the cables hooked up to the DSL modem and the other going to her Dell Photo 964 printer/fax/scanner. The problem is that she cannot receve faxes or send them. Any opinions or input regarding this issue is greatly appreciated.

I want to have my girlfriend come into the US. We are getting more serious now after two years about marriage. Over a year ago i sponsored her for a tourist visa which worked fine for three trips to the US. However, last time on the fourth entry, the officer sent her to secondary and told us that he detected a pattern of "intending to immigrate". He threatened to send her back on the spot but then relented with a warning. He told us that in our situtation the best thing to do would be to immigrate with an I-29. "Get Married", he said, it would be the right way to do this. It is apparently frowned upon to travel back and forth with your partner, and such a couple is encouraged to fully immigrate. I guess you can't have a "just" a partner travelling with you. Fortunately this is okay as we are engaged now anyway.

My problem is that I actually have two divorces, both of them with foreign women that I later divorced due to our inability to work out a legitimate relationship. In both cases they obtained temporary immigrant status. One of them became permanent and the other one moved to Canada.

My first marriage was in 1990. My second was in 1998. I have all the documentation but apparently I need to request a "waiver".

My question is how to request the waiver exactly? Just a nice formal letter? And are they likely to deny us because of my past history?

In the instructions for the I29 under:

4. Filing Limitations on K Nonimmigrant Petitioners.

If you have filed two or more K-1 visa petitions at any time in the past or previously had a K-1 visa petition approved within two years prior to the filing of this petition, you must apply for a waiver. To request a waiver you must submit a written request with this petition accompanied by documentation of your claim to the waiver.

If you have committed a violent offense against a person or persons, USCIS may not grant such a waiver unless you can demonstrate that extraordinary circumstances exist. For details regarding those circumstances, see item 9.B. of these instructions.

The last bit seems to suggest that a waiver might not be that hard to get if I have a clean criminal record....
Any ideas?

Ok so my ex fiance of 6 months recently broke up with me. She told me that the reason was because she felt bored to me and din't feel happy to me and didn't want to hurt me more in the future because she felt like she never had fun with me. I'm a very shy guy and she knows this but after being with her for 6 months I'm still shy and I think she feels like she knows who I am when she really doesn't. The question I have is why did she end it? What was going through her mind when she ended it?? I know she loved me and I think she still does.

I feel like I'm in a rut. I work 50 hours a week come home to an empty apartment and every time I try and talk to girls they treat me like crap. Either by just ignoring me,using me for their own personal gain, or by saying that I'm just a friend. I'm always just a friend never anything more. I feel like I'm gonna snap at the next girl who treats me like crap. It seem like I'm on the bad end of the stick with women. I have hatred towards women and I can't seem to get rid of it. What do I need to do? I feel so hopeless. Like trying to get womens attention will just lead me to being another "friend." Sorry if this is long I'm just at the end of my rope with this whole love thing.

I juz started my period at 21st of March 2007(this was my 1st period). I m 13.Last 2 nights, when i woke up, i checked my undies, there weren't any blood. I thought i finished my period. Hi
When we turned the TV on the colour was distorted. The dvd screen shows a large circle of one colour surrounded by other rings of colour. The channels themselves have very weak colour - again with the circular effect.
We haven't moved the tv or any electrical appliances and haven't had any magnetic equipment near it.
Has anyone got any ideas how to fix this????

How do you be "just friends" with a guy you are extremely confortable being with? I am puddy in his hands when ever he's around. I feel like saying "Yes Master" to whatever he says. It feels like my clothes are melting off my body when he smiles. I'm hopeless. LOL!
