It sounds like sciatica pain.

Sciatica describes persistent pain felt along the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back, down through the buttock and into the lower leg. This is the longest nerve in the body. Pain results when this nerve is irritated by inflammation, pressure on the nerve from arthritis growths or a displaced (herniated) disk in the lower spine.

You need to go to your Dr for tests and treatment.

doctor may send you for X-rays, a computed tomography (CT) scan or a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to check for problems in the spinal vertebrae (backbones) that may be irritating or compressing your sciatic nerve.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

I agree that it sounds like sciatica. You really need to visit your doctor and find out what the cause is. I have sciatica from a ruptured disc that was not diagnosed properly for so long that I now have permanent nerve damage. Don't wait. There are many options available to you and the sooner you diagnose the problem, the closer you are to finding some true relief. Best wishes.

Have you injured your back? It sounds like a herniated disc. You need to have your Doctor order an MRI and see whats going on. Do you have any numbness or tingling in your toes? Surgery is necessary to relive the pain. The disc is the cushion that is between the spinal lumbar bones, that cushion if injured bulges in and pushes on the spinal cord causing the pain to shoot down your butt into your legs, eventually it does cause the numbness in the toes. Laproscopic surgery is usually done.

It sounds like your sciatica nerve is causing you problems. I have back pain and it also goes into my leg. When I went in they found out that my sciatic nerve is causing me problems also. You need to get to a doctor and have them check you out, You may even have damaged a disc. This is nothing to fool around with.

See your doctor, he'll have MRI's and then make a decision. You most probably have a herniated disc or a bulging disc. It's not going to get any better, maybe worse.

I have a permanent back injury. My only hope of relief is chiropractic. I go at least once a month because my back won't stay in place. Give one a try, they're a life saver!
