All right, so we're going to move to a different class a few days later, but how do I tell the teacher I want to sit next to a girl? WE HAVE ASSIGNED SEATS EVERYTIME AND YOU CAN'T TALK OR MOVE ANYWHERE FURTHER THAN LIKE 5 METERS. Please tell me. I need a good reason.

I've been looking for the title of a short story I read in high school everywhere and I can't find it, so I thought I'd ask here. It's about a pale little girl on the planet Venus who everyone makes fun of, and she gets locked in a closet right when the sun comes out for the first time in years....or maybe it rains...I don't know. Anyway, I'd love it if someone could come up with an answer!

Didn't they at least learn from the Tom Brady or Joe Montana episodes? Certainly there are trained comedians and actors who we'd all rather see hosting this show. Why do they continue to book these no-talent sports stars on this high-profile sketch comedy show?

I say they should replace all of their sports star "hosts" with professionals from The Groundlings, Second City or some equivalent. I'm sure the cast would appreciate to work with someone whose skills go beyond Campbell's Soup commercials.

Am I alone on this?

I'm just curious because I haven't found any documented, I've had the shot and after the second round gained some weight pretty rapidly, it is the only thing that I can think of that could have triggered weight gain because my dietary and exercise regimines are the same as they have been for the past year.
I do not want to scare anyone away from the shot, I think its a great idea in theory, I just wished I would have done more research before my doctor offered "an opportunity to prevent cervical cancer" and I thought , "SURE! OK! Sounds Great!"

My ancestors came from Europe about the same time most "African Americans" came from Africa. I'm not European American. I'm just American. I work with allot of black guys I swear, they look like Americans they speak like Americans, we watch the same sports. They NEVER speak of themselves as African American. What is up with that African American thing?

Will we ever create permanent settlements on another planet or moon? Will we colonize the stars?

I personally think that we are already at the peak of our civilization. I predict that we will use up all of our resources and have a global crash of economies. Building spacecraft that could take us to the stars (or even other planets) just requires more resources than our planet can produce. I don't think our civilization will rise for long enough for us to figure out how to make a warp drive, or fusion ramjet, or whatever would be needed.

What do you think?

I just don't get why God would make us so that we needed saving. You can come up with reasons, but if God is all knowing and can see the future, he'd know what was happening and make us accordingly. It's not like we couldn't have freewill and still be good. God could have made us however he wanted.

So why should I
a. want to be "saved" by a God that specifically created me to where I would need to be "saved" by him to be good enough to not burn in hell forever
b. need to be saved if God is good? Why would a good God send anyone, especially someone he loves to eternal damnation?
c. ever want to worship a God that would even allow me to go to Hell, even if I wanted to jump in myself?


Please forgive me, but I really don't understand it. I know people mean well, but it's just not a logical position for someone to put me in.
