Please, do not forget these guys are football players, not Oscar nominees, and they only have about one week for rehearsal.
I did not see Joe Montana, but I think Tom Brady and Payton Manning did a good job, and it was funny.

You are so NOT alone in this. I'm not even bothering to watch tonight. Nothing against Peyton but this isn't Monday Night Football and that's where he is best suited to be. It is such an odd notion that the producers of SNL have, to think that fans want to see NFL-ers on the show. It is bad enough SNL has had such casting problems with regulars over the past few years and that it is rarely been funny but then they book uninteresting guests. I know this is a harsh judgment considering I'm not watching but you asked. :)
I have to say though, there was one hilarious Joe Montana skit that I recall where he played the "sincere guy". I admit, maybe it wasn't hilarious but it was cute.

it's not the hosts that are SNL's problem. they book hosts that are current or whatever. like if an actor has a movie coming out soon, he's booked to host. get it? and who says trained comedians and actors have to always host. it's nice to see an person out of their comfort zone and loosen up.
the overall show isn't funny anymore compared to the glory days. when the writing was good and stuff. and the cast isn't that funny either. the glory years when they had adam sandler, chris farley, jimmy fallon, blah blah blah.
peyton did a surprisingly good job, he kept looking at the cue cards, but i was laughing. it's one of the funniest ones in a long time. what does it say about the show when an athlete is funnier than the cast?
it's not the hosts, daisy.

yeah, ya are. Peyton is the star of many commercials that run here in indy, and he is comical. I hate Tom Brady but he was funny too. And I could name quite a damned few regular celebs that sucked more than Tom and Peyton.
If ya don't like it the tv comes with an Off switch.

do no longer undertaking, they won't be calling you. actual I in no way heard that SNL celebrates homosexuality. guy guess I overlooked on the crap they have been doing recently, even in spite of the undeniable fact that i think of the instruct is stupid so do no longer watch it. He went on because of the fact he can get a humorous tale. The instruct as an entire is a humorous tale. it ought to no longer be humorous yet no person takes something on the instruct heavily.

i dunno-it does seem to be a yearly tradition that they book a big star player from the super bowl winning team every year.
remember the one with nacy kerrigan? man was that awful.
the only athlete that got some big laughs out of me on SNL was shaq. the sketch where tracy morgan tries to take him over his knee and spank him still makes me lose it when i see it in reruns.

Yeah, it was a really lame show. Good thing I had it on tape and watched it this morning, so I could fastforward through lots of it! Fav. skit was that party skit, though, with the "one-upping" woman.
